Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala has finall;y completed his move to premiership champions Manchester City.

The 23 year old has signed a five year deal with City whom first made their move to sign the defender in the January Transfer window, but the deal fail through. The deal comes after City make shift defence of Dedryck Boyata and Matija Nastasic where exposed in Sundays 3-0 Charity Shield defeat at the hands of Arsenal.

Its expected that Mangala will start on the bench in Saturdays Premier League opener against Newcastle with Kompany and Demichelis.

This is Manuel Pellegrini's sixth summer signing having brought in Sagna, Willy Caballero, Bruno Zuculini, Fernando and Frank Lampard on loan until january.
