Roma are said to be preparing a deal for Manchester City midfielder James Milner when his contract expires this summer, according to the Daily Star. It is thought that the Rome side would be happy to offer the England international £100,000 in wages each week, with an additional joining fee of £2.5m.
According to the paper, the three-year deal could be worth £18.1 million over the course of his potential contract.
Milner has made 137 appearances for Manchester City since joining them from Aston Villa on the 17th August 2010 for a deal reported to be £28.5 million.
James also has 53 England caps to his name.
