Swansea midfielder on his way out ?
Wednesday, 5th Jul 2023 07:17 by Swansea Independent

Frenchman Olivier Ntcham could be on his way out of Swansea City with numerous inquiries being fielded for the Cameroon international midfielder. Once again rumours of firm bids are inaccurate but it is expected they will follow over the coming weeks.

Olivier has a year left to run on his contract and saw excellent form towards the end of last season. His time at the Swans has brought international appearances for Cameroon at the World Cup and his stock has risen since he signed from Celtic.

He is approaching eighty league appearances for Swansea with twelve goals many of which have been superb strikes. Clubs within the English pyramid and abroad have displayed an interest in Ntcham. He played for Celtic, Marseille and Genoa before signing for the Swans two years ago.

Of course the Swans haven’t publicly made it known a new contract offer is on the cards for Ntcham, his salary could be a stalling point as it’s unlikely they will match his current deal.

One of the highest paid earners at the Swans, Ntcham was brought in by Mark Allen who was working in a recruitment role at Swansea at the time. The fee for Ntcham won’t be excessively high but at twenty seven he is going to want to see a decent reward for his next contract. We will keep you updated on this as it progresses.

I honestly think he is the only player we should offer everything possible to keep.
