| Forum Thread | We beat Stockport record by 5 goals at 19:45 14 May 2015
However, our total of just 4 wins from 46 matches is an all time low at this level - even Stockport managed 6 but drew less games. No wonder the natives are restless. |
| Forum Thread | I'd take Ollie back in a flash at 13:30 11 May 2015
He can spot a player, is entertaining, gets his team attacking and is the only bloke KO might consider trusting with his prized pennies. The protests can always be put on hold and returned to later if Ollie gets abused! I need a break from negativity... even just for one season! |
| Forum Thread | QPR must pay £58 Million to play in Championship at 17:23 10 May 2015
After breaking Football League financial fair play rules. Reckless spending catching up on them. Will be interesting to see how their future pans out. Might end up the same way as clubs with reckless saving policies. |
| Forum Thread | Could we get a truthful statement from Lee Clark? at 11:48 9 May 2015
Other managers have left recently under mutual agreements but Clark seems to have quit outright himself... meaning there isn't likely to be any gagging order on him as part of a settlement. Come on Lee, why exactly did you quit? (I think we already know but just want it confirming so not to get our hopes up this summer). |
| Forum Thread | Lee Clark interview... I'm not sure he'll stay at 16:06 2 May 2015
Sounds like he's off to me. Lots of past tense used and not much future tense. Think he's realised the depth of the problem and wishes to be in a more positive environment. Questioned himself as to whether he could turn it around. This is only going to get worse. |
| Forum Thread | O/t - Nobody left to vote for at 14:00 30 Apr 2015
I've read and watched enough of these political debates now to have been offended by at least one thing in each party's manifesto so am no longer sure I can cast a vote. Anyone else in the same boat? |
| Forum Thread | More profits whilst relegated at 13:55 29 Apr 2015
Lancashire County Cricket Club made 800k profit in their relegation season. That followed over £3 Million profit the year before. They now plan to build a hotel to increase revenue. All sounds horribly familiar! |
| Forum Thread | Boycotts are becoming the norm - is football's popularity about to collapse? at 21:44 23 Apr 2015
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-humber-32431976 First us, then Cardiff fans, then even Perth Glory fans in Australia and now Liverpool fans are boycotting matches. Are all these boycotts a sign that football fans have finally had enough of greed by clubs, owners and those who run the game? Is the professional game about to swallow itself in greed and the popularity of football as a sport over the last 100 years finally start to plummet? There are plenty of alternative sports on offer that are just as entertaining which don't have such extreme, obscene wealth attached to them so I can see it going that way in future as people turn their back on football for good. |
| Forum Thread | Have Fleetwood started their perfect 10? at 15:46 6 Apr 2015
3-0 up today already. If they win their remaining games it will be 7 on the trot, and they'll be the form team going into the 3 Play-Off games! |
| Forum Thread | Didn't realise we had a home game tonight at 19:30 17 Mar 2015
so my season ticket seat will be empty again. Shows how little interest there's left in it now I don't even know the fixtures. [Post edited 17 Mar 2015 19:52]

| Forum Thread | Brett Ormerod on Radio Lancs tonight at 21:05 11 Mar 2015
Did I hear him right when he said he was at his quickest in the last 2 years at Blackpool? I think they were talking about speed of thought making 2 yards start on players around them but he also said over 10 to 15 yards. What a legend - playing at Padium in front of 160 fans each week at the age of 38 rather than retiring. Played at the top level like a fan in boots. It may be a long time before we see another like him. |
| Forum Thread | 42 shots to 1 at 21:49 24 Feb 2015
Lol. Amazing stats. Never seen that before in all my days. Would a Sunday League team have done better? There can't have been many worse teams in history at this level. [Post edited 24 Feb 2015 21:51]

| Forum Thread | Arrest warrant out for one of our players at 19:03 24 Feb 2015
Has he been found yet or are we going to end up with a police stand off and Gazza coming to the rescue? It's been an amazing car crash of a season and every day seems to bring yet more bad news but I have to admit it's almost amusing how bizarre and original some of the chaos is becoming. If I wrote a Roy of the Rovers account of a failing club (maybe calling it Lee of the Losers), I don't think I'd even dare write half of the stuff that has actually happened for fear of it sounding too far fetched. I suppose it's not dull at least. |
| Forum Thread | Bizarre but entertaining! at 17:39 14 Feb 2015
Well I can't recall ever seeing us draw 4-4 at home before so it will certainly remain in the memory for a long time to come. Draws aren't needed though in our current situation. We really should have managed that game better once 2-0 up. Seeing us effectively down to 8 men with Orlandi limping around on one leg and then our keeper going up for a last gasp corner leaving one at the back and actually manage to equalise is about the best enjoyment I've had out of my season ticket in the past 3 years. Madine looks useful for us and Aldred did well until being caught out by a player with more pace than he's probably used to playing against in League Two. Orlandi was good and we generally looked full of fight. Good to see the kids getting more experience too. Get them signed up and rebuild for the future. |
| Forum Thread | The Premier League say they aren't a charity at 14:05 11 Feb 2015
I still can't understand why people continue to subscribe to organisations which support such inequality. It has killed the competition as a sporting contest and will continue to be as boring as sin for the foreseeable future with the same dull clubs dominating the top places. Zzzzzzzz. And whilst The Premier League does zilch for grass roots football or the pyramid beneath it, the inequality doesn't just stop within football. It's society wide. We will be seeing a 19 year old put his life on the line in the army for £18,000 a year whilst another 19 year old will kick a ball about for £100,000 a week. Do people really want to subscribe and promote such a thing? Time people realised The Premier League aren't a charity and gave their money to more charitable causes. |
