| Forum Thread | Those of you who don't live in Blackpool South...... at 20:45 6 May 2015
.......would you be voting for Andy Higgins tomorrow if you did? I'll be brutally honest here and say even as a BST member, probably not. The future of Blackpool FC is of major concern (of course) and the club has been a consistent in my life these past 35 years or so, but.....there are bigger issues out there. Protecting the future of the NHS for one. Nailing Corporate tax dodgers for another. Don't get me wrong. Andy's excellent campaign has been great in highlighting the issues around the club but this is an election which will decide our future as nation for the next 5 years. Would I consider it the right time for me to register a protest vote on a very local issue? Would I let my heart rule my head and vote for Andy if I had the option? Really not sure I would, but I wish him all the best for tomorrow. [Post edited 6 May 2015 20:56]

Has offered his support and help to the cause via Twitter. Whatever you think of him, its not an offer to be ignored. Good on him. |

2nd May should be an interesting afternoon by all accounts. |

I've rather enjoyed it, actually. No stress, no angst, no pain. Roll on the close season. |

I once met someone who collected the numbers of London underground trains. Recently I came across someone who makes comparisons between message boards and tallies up their respective posts. I suspect he compiles the totals on a spread sheet. Possibly using a pivot table. Any more? |
| Forum Thread | Season Ticket prices at 20:21 7 Mar 2015
Last year's double deal was offered on the premise that ticket prices for the 2015-16 season would 'definitely' rise - this would be the last season the £195.30 standard 'early bird' price would be on offer. Given that our imminent relegation is hardly likely to drive sales upwards, what do we think the club will do? If they retain the £195.30 offering then those who bought a 2 year ticket might well have grounds to claim they were mis-sold the package. And yet, with League 1 status pretty much confirmed, the club is hardly in a position to start raising prices, or even to match the standard ST price of this year which, after all, was for Championship football. Considering the utter farce this season has been, I would fully expect sales to plummet whatever KO does. But it does seem that the club has rashly painted itself into yet another sticky corner. | Forum Thread | 1-6 flattered Bournemouth at 19:34 20 Dec 2014
We gifted them two goals (so they don't count) and the ref gifted them another (scrub that one as well), plus they played on when our player hopped off the pitch injured (minus another), so what are we actually left with? Only two or three (I lost count after a while) finely crafted efforts and some fancy passing. So, if you put aside the fact they out classed us in every single component of the game for every single minute of the game, then there wasn't much to choose between the two sides really. He seems to have stopped the rot. Decent point today. That said, it'll be a big ask next week against rampaging, top of the table Bournemouth (did I really type that?) but if we do get something then I think there'll be cause for optimism. [Post edited 13 Dec 2014 17:33]

Reasonable if not exactly original piece on the BBC website about what has appeared (if anything) in place of some of the old grounds on their demolition. In the case of Burden Park, I'd say that its current usage is something of an improvement. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-29460621 |

Just had reason to go on the fishful club mobile website and was greeted by a banner ad for McCain's oven chips. 'Happy Days' reads the tag line........ [Post edited 9 Sep 2014 21:56]
