Just a question on your first point Dave .Fury was gone completly and only for the extra padding in the corner would have crashed down and out brutally hard IMO.
That means the ref has to stop it to prevent any further damage to a defenseless fighter but instead he let it go and then the bell sounded. If there was another 30 seconds left Usyk would have delivered more punishing blows to kill it off completly .
I think the ref did not protect the fighter in his vunerable state and that is unacceptable with the head injuries all over every sport . |

Good post here mart_Goblin I am not very knowledgable about boxing but I thought the Ref was stopping it to save more punishment on Fury and end it there .
I was shocked he let it go because the big man was dangerously close to being out on his feet and crashing down hard .
They had audio on Fury's corner before round 12 and they must have known he was way behind but there was no desperation from them at all. They should have told him "knock him out or you lose " but looked like they were in denial.
The right man won but boxing remains a cruel sport IMO |

Wow I forgot about Potter that could be an incredible shout there Ned but would the fans accept him back after his Chelsea fiasco .
Was he in contention for any other PL jobs since he got the boot or just lying low until this season ends .
No chance he would go to Man Utd is there if they drop the ax on Ten Hag |

As a very casual golfer I play with 3 other high handicap hackers ( but incredible human beings ) and we have a simple rule that not only works nicely but also speeds up play .
Every approch shot , chip ,bunker shot or long putt that ends up close to the hole we quickly measure and if its inside the leather grip of the putter pick it up and add 1.
This simply takes out the chance of the dreaded 3 or 4 putt which destroys the player and brings down the mood for the entire group .
We only play for fun ,no money or competitions handicaps so it does not matter in the big picture and nobody ever claims they shot under their score on a hole to gain advantage just very casual |

Wonder where De Zerbi is heading off to ,I suspect the table is already set for him someplace to leave right away .
As for Marti I think our biggest threat will come from a Championship contender ( if not us of course ) because there is no PL team that would take basically an unknown prospect right now IMO.
Of course Sheffield Utd could dump Wilder or he could bail , Kompany is almost certain to jump ship so they have money to burn and that could ruin us .
Best case senario Marti stays this year and gets us into the top 6 or beyond then takes the next step upwards or sticks around to see how far we can go |

Drove by a hearse at the head of a funeral convoy yesterday (they were in the slow lane I was in the middle lane )and made the sign of the cross just by instinct .
My youngest daughter asked me why I did that and I just said its something I have done since I was a boy and do it almost subconciously now.
Maybe a mark of respect or prayer for the deceased I am not sure .
p.s My 85 year old Mother In Law just shuffled by and she said she always blessed herself passing a graveyard her whole life as well as the hearse so it might be an Irish Catholic thing we suspect |

I know its the best of package the agent put together but superb job and he looks quicker than I thought in those clips .
We all talk about the goal that Paal kneed in against Huddersfield being vital but that goaline clearence by JCC was almost bigger IMO.
Fair play to him he shattered his Jake Glass Salters image here with his superb season lets hope he gets rewarded with a 10 mil PL deal |

I still think thought was just winding us up but after the last couple of posts I guess Jeffranger was serious which is a shame IMO.
I think everybody who is registered on LFW to be able to start threads and post etc should be on the lowest patron level at least . The amount of sheer pleasure and sense of family that Clive oversees on here is worth way more than money can buy really and for the overseas Rs a tight lifeline to all things QPR .
If anybody uses fat fingers to down vote me then fcuk off as well  |

Said he does not have Twitter or anything which makes him one of the few players without social media I suspect but maybe better for his mental wellbeing .
Very happy for him that he was able to put his injury worries behind him and he had an excellent season taking no prisoners or much B.S. from officials either .
I would love to see him stay but money talks ,its going to be an interesting few months . |

excellent post here Dave IMO.
Every country in football would be thrilled to have Harry Kane not just for his goals but his leadership and looks like a quality person.
Watched the last 15 minutes when BM were leading , saw Harry Kane getting pulled off and said to my daughter " stupid move this game could go to penalties and HK is one of the top PK takers in history ".
The next few minutes were pure madness with the mistake by Nuer and the go ahead goal for RM.
This was checked multiple times to make sure yet the Ref blew his whistle the second he saw the BY offside despite the regulations of letting the play go on .
It felt wrong and like a fix to be honest.
Pep took off Haaland and KDB against Madrid when that was pretty much a gaurntee to go to penalties also maybe he is just over thinking it |

Trophy hunters belong in their own special place where animals can get their revenge on the cruelty imposed on them.
I read a pretty sickening stat lately that something like 80% of wildlife have been taken out by humans around the globe .
Not all hunting of course but it still comes to the same conclusion we fuc*ing suck .
Sometimes we get a lovely story where Lions or Elephants manage to kill a trophy hunter but never enough .

I must begetting old because I actually feel sorry for Johnny Evans and I despise Man Utd.
Since he was recalled his form has been shocking and there is nowhere to hide when you are playing for them.
There is probably only 1 or 2 PL teams he would be able to get into their team if that he has to play I guess with all the injuries . |

Pretty intense yet accurate post there NorthantsHoop and will keep this thread going a few more pages I suspect.Strongly agree on his managerial approch and the fact the players simply did not respond says everything about his reign.
However it raises a massive question I have not ever asked on LFW.
If GA was succesful for 10 years at WW with top class athletes using all his QPR gimmicks (not the haka guy obviously ) and never changed his dress code or system why did the QPR players completly shut him out .
Was it simply being out of his depth or a deeper issue which Marti seems to have turned around thank Christ . |

You are talking about 2 of the biggest wan*ers in World football there Landsharp but Martizez has a WC medal doing his bullsh*t mind games .
That keeper from the African cup of nations who we are supposedly looking at is almost a worst culprit .(sorry cannot find his name ).
Haaland has the best approch IMO. As soon as the ball is placed and the whistle blown he is off at full speed and normally buries it in either corner .
I am old school but if a shooter stops,stalls or hops and scores it should be a retake and if he does it again chalk it off |

I know I am like a broken record but SW were bottom of the league and dead and buired when the new guy came in and played superb stuff to survive fair play to them.
Between Marti and Rohl they have performed miracles with basically the same players who got them in trouble that is some feat .
Plymouth saved themselves and Millwall pulled the trigger and changed Managers who worked his own magic .
It gets tougher and tougher each year but the teams comming down in the next 2 weeks are nowhere close to Leicester and Leeds or Southampton IMO so its game on next year |

I suspect there is no chance they will hold on to Sammie if a top team comes calling and that will really test Eustace losing all those goals . |
