Nigel has let himself down a bit today. Apparently he has cancelled an interview tonight with Nick Robinson due to a “diary conflict”. If that was the case, the other event must be incredibly important not to go on live (I think) TV to put his case forward. Not a good sign. |

As I said in another thread, it’s the hope that kills you and I’ve no doubt it will this time.
You just know we’ll be faffing around, losing our targets and scrambling for something in the last day of the window. Twas ever thus.
This ownership have no appetite for paying what they feel is over the odds and are somewhat deluded in believing their business acumen is appropriate in English football.

If that’s directed at me, the reason I say it is that England have a tournament to take part in, Wales don’t so it’s meaningless. |

Well England can get some use out of the friendliest similar to clubs’ pre-season games. The score is not that important but in Wales’ case that’s not so and I’m sure the attitude of the players reflect that. |

I don’t understand why these games take place. Clearly for Euro qualifying teams there is a purpose but a pointless friendly after a long season makes no sense for the likes of Wales. This is pure football overload for the players who seem to have little interest if the last couple of games are anything to go by., not that I’ve seen them but the comments here suggest that’s the case. |

This bloody tour seems to be getting a running commentary on the news.
Total over reaction I’d say.
Saying that, I remember the likes of David Cassidy and Donny Osmond making similar waves in the early 70s so not a new phenomena. |
