I worry that the shape of the team is wrong. Am sure Mainoo and Wharton will be great players but they aren't ready yet to go deep into a tournament. I'd like to see us move back to the 433 that worked well at the world cup with Rice, Bellingham and Gallagher in the middle behind Kane, Saka and Foden. Gordon, Eze, Palmer, Bowen are completely untested at this level and need to be wildcards from the bench |

Eze, Chair, Dieng, Manning all came in this way. Meanwhile the 'been with us since a nipper' route has yielded Furlong and Kakay |

Reckon Eze is in after that. Feel the 7 to miss out will be Trafford - Obvious Quansah - Too soon for him and Gomez/Konsa more versatile Branthwaite - As above Dunk - Not as versatile as Gomez/Konsa Jones - Won't take both him and Wharton Maddison - One attacking midfielder needs to miss out and he's in worst form Watkins - He's played 12 times for England now and never impresses. Doesn't fit the style |

Always wondered what's underneath the guys fist? Is it another a picture of someone doing the same action? If so what's under his fist? Another guy? Just endless men beating their chests (ooooh eeerrrr) |

Lads, it was 100% the cruelest. We were absolute wnk that day, held on by our fingernails against a much younger, fitter and far less expensively assembled team. We had one shot on target which went in in the 90th minute. That Derby team were fantastic to watch and for a neutral it was a shame they never got a crack at the Prem ahead of our stinking lot. However, don't give a fck |

My legs literally collapsed beneath me when it went in. I basically blacked out and came round with my girlfriend pulling me off the black of a random bloke in the row in front. Magnificent |

I can see why McKenna couldn't turn down Man U. But he will be eaten alive there. Chelsea just has so many red flags it's ridiculous. |

It seems football has collectively lost its mind Rooney to Plymouth Maresca or Frank to Chelsea Kompany to Bayern McKenna to Man U Now I'm not saying that Tuchel and Poch are the be all and end all, but 2 years ago they were 2 of the best coaches in the world. Now apparently nobody wants them and instead wants to hire someone who had oodles of cash in the Championship and therefore found it easy. McKenna would be mental to go to Man U or Chelsea when Brighton want him. Those clubs will eat him alive |
| Forum Reply | Rumour Plymouth manager gone at 09:04 24 May 2024
So odd how he seems to have accepted his lot as a bog standard Championship manager. Why? He did an OK job at Derby, nothing disgraceful and could've walked away reputation in tact. The more of these jobs he takes the more everyone remembers him as a fat waster as opposed to Man United's record goal scorer and one of the best players England have ever produced. Just go and be a Sky Sports pundit FFS. |

Voting Labour Had voted Tory once before but after Brexit never again. Voted Lib Dem twice since then because Corbyn was such a shitshow and I refused to give him my vote (I'm Jewish btw so the anti semitism stuff was... problematic to me!). Excited to have a dull, competent person running the country. A win for centrist dad's everywhere |

That's the Burnley and possibly the Ipswich job now available. I do worry that if the chairs shuffle around enough then Marti might get the call. Rob Edwards, Carlos Corberan etc could all easily fill those vacancies and then Luton/WBA looking for new manager.... |

Seems it's 30 He's also got Quansah, Curtis Jones, Wharton and Colwill in there so there must be some big names missing out. I'd say those players all deserve it (except maybe Colwill who is lucky he has a left foot) |

News coming out that he's dropped Chilwell, Henderson and Sterling from provisional squad. Included are Eze, Wharton, Quansah, Colwill, Wharton, Jones That's pretty bold to change the guard so close a tournament |

His record against the top 10 in competitive games (Euros, World Cup, Qualifiers and Nations League) is P18 W 6 D 3 L 9 I've counted the Euro's final as a draw |

He's played Guehi, Colwill, Tomori, Dunk at centre back fro England and none of them have been particularly good. He's had Shaw and Chilwell as LB with Trippier as backup. He's also played Rico Lewis, Tyrick Mitchell and James Justin in there with limited success. The myth that Southgate has favourites is only true because whenever he tries someone else they inevitably don't perform. 3 years ago at the Euro's everyone said he HAD to play Grealish and Sancho. He played Saka instead and look what a shrewd decision that's turned out to be as we now have arguably the best winger in the world starting. 6 months ago everyone said to build the team around Bellingham, now we want to build the team around Foden with Bellingham 'sitting deep'. He's built a 4231 system which is what he will play in the Euros, the only question marks are who sits alongside Rice (I think he will try TAA) and who plays LB if Shaw is injurem (probably Trippier) |

There isn't a world where Pep manages England! He wouldn't want to switch to international football which is a different ball game altogether. England went down that road with Sven and Capello and it didn't work. SOuthgate has revolutionised the national team by taking a holistic approach and working out what you need to do to go deep in a tournament. If he goes they'll look to bring in Potter, Cooper, Howe or maybe Lee Carsley |

The top 3 should really be Burnley, Luton and Saints/Leeds next season. Am sure that WBA, Norwich, Boro etc will be around the Play Off places also. As for the teams that have come up, I'd be surprised if any of them went straight through the leaguer. Oxford have got a hell of a job on to survive and Pompey and Derby have been burnt before by reckless spending. |

I do get where the Spurs fans are coming from. I live and grew up in North London, really you are either Arsenal or Spurs round here and there is constant bickering and 'banter' between the fans. My group of best mates are mostly Spurs and Arsenal and they are always harping on at each other. Really they've been similar standard for the last 15 years, which is perhaps why we can't relate to it as QPR fans. Our 3 local rivals have all passed us by and the one we hate the moist barely know we exist. There would never be a situation where I'd want us to lose so Chelsea didn't win the league. But then if they did win the league they wouldn't be lining up to rub it in the faces of QPR fans. I think Postecoglu's sentiments are bang on, that it's fcking small time behaviour. If you're a big club you don't care about other teams, you only focus on winning yourself. It's arguably what Man City have done so well, stopped obsessing about Man United. Big, successful clubs and their fans don't worry about their rivals, they just make sure they beat them |
