IMO that would snatch defeat from the jaws of victory .

The Lib Dems have in their Manifesto an commitment to rejoin the single market asap and a longer term commitment to rejoin the EU . In 2019 under Jo Swinson they vowed to reverse article 50 and cancel Brexit . They lost seats including Swinsons .

Currently polling at 10%. Why dont those who would have preferred to remain (supposedly now 60%) just pile in behind them ? .

You have pretty much described me except that I would vote for the Labour candidate but can’t find anything online that tells me his place on the left/ right spectrum .

Lucky to find a group of old boys who play every Wednesday morning all over east London and Essex.
A mixture of West Ham , Man Utd and Arsenal fans the football banter is brilliant . One guy does all the organising , booking the tee times and lunch pubs , just get a whats app with a handicap update and turn up.
Most have had some health issues and have got some real support from the group over the years. Our annual cup (dented) competition and Christmas hats and Jumpers week are the highlights of the year .
We play for a quid and the discussions about who owes what often take longer than the round itself. Its like being in an episode of Last of The Summer Wine some weeks.

I come from Romford
The Pompadours , now all boarded up opposite the shopping centre used to be really rough a few years back . Legend has it that The Bear (now called something else) on Noak Hill Road used to have a real bear in a cage many yeasr ago .

Its a nice pub , my eldest son lives just down the road so we go there on matchdays sometimes although its hard to get served at times . He tells me the opening scenes of the film The Gentlemen was filmed there. He went there for Christmas lunch and said it was very good.

I got charged double for a burger in SAR . The guy said "the supervisor has to do all refunds and credits " ..OK where are they? ...."Over in Ellerslie Rd" was the reply .. about 12 min before kick off
