Surprised there’s not been a thread on this:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/art

I’ve waited a bit to see what came out but it seems it’s just masked military style men on the streets shooting an unarmed woman trying to drive a way.

The interpretation of events from Trump and particularly Vance are so fantastical you’d laugh if it want so sad.

It’s the Emperor’s new clothes.

People online saying ICE have murdered an ICU nurse now and that the government are spinning it that the nurse was going to commit mass murder and that ICE was in danger.

The way it's going its only a matter of time before the ones doing the killing ICE agents that is start to get killed themselves.

These idiots are utterly convinced that the law shouldn't apply to them or the causes that they support. The people in the linked story are in a similar vein. No doubt if they'd tried the same nonsense in the US a couple of them would have been popped off too.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

The outrage! The outrage! The outrage!

I will repeat myself from an earlier post i.e. if a person stays well away from law enforcement officers and avoids obstructing justice when they are making an arrest there will be no shots fired. Not only that the guy is reported to have had in his possession a pistol with laser sights and two bullet magazines. Darwin Award alert hey!

Not all bad will come out of this, because the (once sensible?) modern day American left (was never like this before!) has shown its true colours. This is what it/they wanted all along.

A case of congratulations and raise a toast for the next 100% GUARANTEED VICTORY in 2028 for the Republican Party.

The Democratic Party has morphed itself itself into an unelectable and poisonous WOKE-extremist obscenity, that now? Can only appeal to a minority made up of anarcho-communists, Marxists, Antifa, college campus extremists and low-I.Q crackpots.

Just want to mention a couple of things cos all of us in UK live in a gun free society pretty much

1. In the USA anyone can carry a gun, with few exceptions. Even my wife has one. Which reminds me I need to make sure I go and get her a birthday present

2. The local police are just as tooled up as the ICE Agents that some of you say are an armed military force doing to Minnesota and America what the Iranians Revolutionary Gurad are doing in Iran. Every cop goes to work every day with a bullet proof vest and tooled up just the same as other law enforcements bodies like ICE
They have to cos everyone they encounter is able to carry a six shooter

3. The video. That agent is arresting a criminal. The criminal would not know ICE is arresting him until they get to his door. The protestors honking horns and blowing whistles are alerting that child predator that ICE is coming. That predator can now pick up his gun and be ready to shoot it out with that agent if he is so inclined.

4. Everyone in the USA knows you do not resist arrest cos it can end badly, sometimes deadly

5. The news and the liberals will make as much of this as they can. 2 dead.
Because the USA is a gun country over 100 people every month get shot and killed by police from resisting arrest only.
Thats 3 every day. But politics and activists will try and spin these 2 deaths as America is going off the rails because of Trump. Both resisted arrest and threatened the office. One with a car and 1 with a gun

6. I do not like that both died. I think in both instances it may or could have been avoided

7. Ask yourself if you are one of the officers arresting Petti yesterday. He is fighting and resisting and starts to get a little of the floor and pulls his gun out. Are you going to wait until he pulls the trigger and shoots you?

More may come out, but from what I’ve seen the ICE agents disarmed the man and then shot him.

The counter argument seems to be ‘if you turn up at a protest with a gun, what do you expect?’.

I don’t recall the logic being applied to Kyle Rittenhouse.

The sad thing about the Pretti killing is that his parents had warned him to avoid provoking ICE if he carried on attending Minnesota protests, and he had said he would be careful. Regrettably he was then foolish enough to get into a dispute over the grabbing of another protestor while armed with a 9mm pistol and a spare loaded magazine. Why did he think he needed 16 plus rounds to attend a protest one wonders? Yes, I think the ICE agents could and should have avoided killing this man, but some demonstrators do seem to be pushing things to the limit. From the other side, Vance, Tricia McLaughlin et al stoke the fire by claiming that Pretti approached ICE agents with a drawn pistol, which is clearly untrue. He was just filming on his camera, but he then made the mistake of struggling when the agents tried to detain him and it seems that the pistol was seen.

It’s looks very much like the gun was seen, and removed.

Then they shot him.

It’s difficult not to put British sensibilities onto this when it comes to carrying guns, but in the us it’s completely normal.

Where are we going with this? Any negative interaction with an agent/cop and you get killed?

Blimey, we’ve got our issues over here and tbh I wish the police could be more forceful in some situations but not anywhere near to what we’re seeing over there.

Well yes
We here wait until somebody pulls a gun out and if cop gets shot then it’s a damned shame
He will be called a hero
We like that
What we don’t like is eliminating lethal scum off our streets
I wished we did
Even the vilest of scum have “ supporters” especially if IC /3 and they take to the streets to say what a nice cheeky mum loving boy he was who was underprivileged

It's now more than bleeding bloody obvious that these WOKE, anarcho-communist, college campus standard protesting agitators, BLM-rioter types have zero common sense. They do after all tend to think there are 100+ genders, think anyone who wants border control is a racist and are awfully concerned about correct pronoun usage etc.

Who turns up at an a arrest that has nothing at all to do with him/her, and tries to disrupt it to help a wanted person escape capture?

Who gratutioulsy provokes relentlessly harassed, threatened and intimidated law enforcement official's, whom know all to well that they have been shot at, run over and had all sorts of missiles thrown at them.

Ditto the Darwin Award idiots once seen in Northern Ireland, thick enough to drive towards a roadblock when stopping was the choice of 99.9%.

Just noticed that Pretti's pistol was a customised version of the Sig Sauer 320. Ironically the basic 320 is the sidearm that ICE has purchased as standard issue for its agents. Not a cheap weapon, so Pretti must have been in to guns.

When young people who carry knives in this country are asked why they carry them the answer is almost always “because everyone else does and I need to protect myself”.

Then when people who are of that mentality gets involved in a tense situation/altercation with someone else of that mentality it becomes a stab or be stabbed situation for both people and someone inevitably will get stabbed.

This is what we’ve been seeing for god knows how long in America but with guns. It always comes down to the second amendment of the constitution. A constitution basically copied almost word for word from a 17th century English/scottish law guaranteeing certain rights following the Glorious Revolution with the stuff about the king and Catholics taken out and a bit of the Magna Carta randomly thrown in because it was trendy at the time. Where the “right to bear arms” referred pretty much exclusively to farming implements, dildos and rolling pins. Hardly anyone had firearms and even those who did would need to take a week and an half off work to reload one after firing it.

It’s an anachronism that needs to be corrected in the modern world.

Trigger happy cops are a result of them being massively on edge at the prospect of everyone they meet/arrest being potentially armed and able to blast them away in a second.

It always comes down to this idiotic right to let anyone and everyone carry guns.

FYI, not everyone can carry a gun legally. In the United States, the federal Gun Control Act (18 U.S.C. § 922(g)) establishes specific categories of "prohibited persons" who are legally barred from possessing, purchasing, or transporting firearms or ammunition. People who have felonies and certain mental health histories are primary disqualifiers, but the list is more extensive.

From Google Gemini: 1. Who Cannot Legally "Bear Arms"?
Under federal law, the following categories of people are prohibited from possessing firearms:

Convicted Felons: Anyone convicted in any court of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year (typically felonies).

Mental Health Adjudications: Individuals who have been "adjudicated as a mental defective" or involuntarily committed to a mental institution by a court or lawful authority.

Note: Voluntary admission for observation usually does not trigger this prohibition.

Illegal or Unlawful Aliens: Non-citizens who are in the U.S. illegally or those on non-immigrant visas (with specific exceptions like having a valid hunting license).

Unlawful Drug Users: Current users of or those addicted to any controlled substance (this includes marijuana, regardless of state legalization).

Domestic Violence Misdemeanants: Anyone convicted of a "misdemeanor crime of domestic violence."

Fugitives from Justice: People who have fled any state to avoid prosecution or testimony.

Restraining Orders: Individuals subject to a court order restraining them from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or child.

Dishonorable Discharge: Anyone discharged from the U.S. Armed Forces under dishonorable conditions.

Renounced Citizenship: Former U.S. citizens who have formally renounced their citizenship.
