| Jones 07:52 - Feb 7 with 5018 views | Phildo | Was sat in the Charlton end last night with a Charlton supporting mate quite close to jones on the touch line. He is a full on loony I was fascinated watching him. Was twitching, and at times not watching the game. Talked to himself incessantly in the third person. During water breaks at times he wandered off and his coaches were left instructing his players. Was like an evil version of Olly . Looking like a man who hadn’t slept for three weeks after his wife left him for a wealthier man, totally bizarre- if I read today he had been committed it would not surprise me. | | | | |
| Jones on 08:28 - Feb 7 with 4017 views | sdm1508 | Initially my Mrs thought he had nicotine stains on his fingers. In fact it was plasters on both his index fingers that he kept biting at during the game. Picking his teeth and generally constantly having to put his fingers in his mouth like a small child. | | | |

Perculiar behaviour isn’t it . I thought maybe the plasters were to stop him biting his nails ? But his forefingers were often right at the back of his mouth so his back teeth were biting the plasters . Strange . Sky couldn’t get enough of showing him doing it neither

Yes I do agree and have to give him credit where due . Sky , because of the tripe that been served we’re desperate to make a talking point out of the Vale / Coady incident and he quashed it flat saying “we don’t want to see red cards for this type of thing, a yellow was right “ I didn’t expect that . | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Red!!!!! Andy Sinton was doubtful about it being a yellow. I get that these days, a high foot is interpreted as a yellow. However, what was Vale suppose to do? Coady came in from behind and lowered his head in where Vale was about to make contact with the ball. Back in the day, it might have been construed as dangerous to yourself and a free kick to Vale. There were and always are high feet last night and in every game but unless there is contact, it seems to be accepted.

Completely agree. As I say, Sky were desperate to make a talking point out of very little . Even to the point that they said Mike Dean had contacted them and said it was a definite red!!! Oh do f^ck off! Mackie and the Charlton player who were studio guests basically hinted that Dean was out of his tiny mind . As Mackie said “game has gone “ [Post edited 7 Feb 11:01]

Says Mike Dean who couldn’t bring himself to give aguero a 2nd yellow for removing his shirt after scoring the winner in 2012,and also didn’t help the FA about the punch on Barton that led to the flare up.
| Jones on 13:09 - Feb 7 with 2608 views | ChesterfieldR | He's not the only one though. What about Pep - little flobs every 5 seconds. And Thomas Frank, chomping away on his gum with his gob wide open. Don't these guys ever look at themselves on tv, and see how disgusting they look? | | | |

My next door neighbour a CAFC season ticket holder had a spare for me last night beside him and he was telling me on the way that Jones has said that he needs to wear plasters on his fingers otherwise he continually bites his nails during matches. He agreed that Jones is a bit like Warnock in that everyone hates him until he becomes your manager and he has survived there two years and got them back up so they like him for that. The Charlton fans around me last night were proper bricking it for the last 10mins and were baffled by Jones’ changes which they blamed for allowing us to push on looking for the winner. Enjoyable night out at a new ground for me but a long slog home to Ruislip and the neighbour does that for every home game.

Does anyone want to see close ups of anyone's unappealing personal habits or nervous tics? I certainly don't. So why are they so keen to show it?

Not forgetting Mr Sniffy himself, Joachim Low. They're clearly all on the spectrum (as is nearly everyone in some way).

He is a bit of an affected character but if I'm being honest, he is not doing a bad job there with limited resources. If he can keep them up at Leicester, West Brom's or Blackburn's expense then he will have got his CV back on track.

He is. Limited resources and I’d argue punching above their weight if they stay up semi-comfortably. Still think his madman schtick is mostly performative but over the course of his managerial career he’s shown he’s good at it.
