Was sat in the Charlton end last night with a Charlton supporting mate quite close to jones on the touch line.
He is a full on loony I was fascinated watching him. Was twitching, and at times not watching the game. Talked to himself incessantly in the third person. During water breaks at times he wandered off and his coaches were left instructing his players.
Was like an evil version of Olly . Looking like a man who hadn’t slept for three weeks after his wife left him for a wealthier man, totally bizarre- if I read today he had been committed it would not surprise me. |  | | |  |

Perculiar behaviour isn’t it . I thought maybe the plasters were to stop him biting his nails ?
But his forefingers were often right at the back of his mouth so his back teeth were biting the plasters . Strange .

I get that these days, a high foot is interpreted as a yellow. However, what was Vale suppose to do? Coady came in from behind and lowered his head in where Vale was about to make contact with the ball. Back in the day, it might have been construed as dangerous to yourself and a free kick to Vale. There were and always are high feet last night and in every game but unless there is contact, it seems to be accepted. | | | |

My next door neighbour a CAFC season ticket holder had a spare for me last night beside him and he was telling me on the way that Jones has said that he needs to wear plasters on his fingers otherwise he continually bites his nails during matches. He agreed that Jones is a bit like Warnock in that everyone hates him until he becomes your manager and he has survived there two years and got them back up so they like him for that.
The Charlton fans around me last night were proper bricking it for the last 10mins and were baffled by Jones’ changes which they blamed for allowing us to push on looking for the winner.
Enjoyable night out at a new ground for me but a long slog home to Ruislip and the neighbour does that for every home game. |  |

He is. Limited resources and I’d argue punching above their weight if they stay up semi-comfortably. Still think his madman schtick is mostly performative but over the course of his managerial career he’s shown he’s good at it. | | | |
