They’ve all but disappeared. Ben Orange was as bad as anyone for it today.. For the Delap one which created the break, Konsa was desperately trying to obstruct it from being taken to the point it was probably impossible to take a legal throw-in. Quite impressed that Arteta has found a player to make them even more unlikeable. |

I don’t think he’s lazy. I don’t think he’s as good as some of the kids do but not for lack of effort. You play a 5-4-1 against that defence and play the way we did then he’s not going to get much out of them, three games in eight days after not playing or not. The availability is obviously the main issue as he probably doesn’t start that game after two starts if any of Burrell, Kone or Lloyd are fit but with the team available it was just far too lightweight to ever truly get a grip of the game and give him the opportunities to show what he can do. Sometimes tries too hard to do something when the simple option is on. |

Not for me. Had a nice turn and run to play in Kolli in the first half but he was downright lazy for much of the game. Adamson has been surprisingly good but he’s a young, green player and sometimes when you’re under the cosh the wingers have to tuck in more than he did today. One absolutely pathetic offside when we were under pressure and punted it forward while he trotted back and hadn’t even made it to the halfway line from our set piece well before.
There’s undoubtedly a player there but we aren’t seeing it nearly enough for me. I expect him to offer a lot more going forwards than Smyth on the other side and they both did very little.
Saying that, the game was really lost in midfield. Edwards too deep (if he was in the midfield at all), Vale and Kamara too weak. |

We had a great record there in the early years of the new ground. Can’t be worse than last season even if we get turned over comfortably. Not being from near the area they’ve always been a bit meh to me while Pompey feels more of a proper away day but the escapades to finish their season have created a bit of an edge with every team.
The seats/standing wasn’t very clear on the map thing (if there are normal seats at all). |

I’m probably basing it largely off one game where they played together and it didn’t go that well but just don’t think they complement each other in a 4-4-2 compared to Edwards in there with one of them. Both good players and probably just need a run together. |

I would like to see two up top. Not a big fan of the Madsen-Kamara partnership in a two though maybe they just need time together. A few early balls in behind for Lloyd/Kolli (not sure they’ve ever played up front together at least for the first team) feels an obvious thing to try against a weary and not first choice defence. |
