I am late filing a Confirmation statement this week too - because of problems with the new Director Identification process. Its a shambles and many firms are struggling with it.
As for Carlisle, their wage bill is still over £5m and the playing budget is more than twice ours. The new owners are investing in the ground to boost income, which is no bad thing, but investment is added to the balance sheet as debt, which is quite common. With the playing budget at 101% of turnover during that financial year, it was no surprise they needed a new owner. Whether they can get back into the football league before the new owner closes the chequebook time will tell. |  | | |
