The woman in question clearly has a difficult domestic background and lives in an environment where children have previously been judged to have been 'at risk', to the extent that they have been removed from her care for their own safety.
If those circumstances haven't changed, or the woman refuses to make changes that have been recommended, then the relevant authorities can only deal with what they know.
The over-riding concern MUST be for the welfare of the unborn child and the environment into which it is to be introduced, and the people who will be responsible for the childs' care.
It has nothing to do with the mothers' views or any organisation to which she belongs. If the child was subsequently harmed we would, yet again, be having a go at social workers for failing to do their jobs. Never an easy decision. |  |
