My sincere condolences to you and your family Dave.
Like many on here I never met your dad but still felt I knew him through his brilliant, witty, straight to the point, no nonsense, insightful posts. Seemed a genuine and lovely a bloke. His universal popularity and respect on here is unmatched. He'll be greatly missed.
It's a year and half since my (step) dad passed and remembering him now is all filled with joy and gratitude for his presence and a life well lived. I'm sure it will be the same for you.
Thanks Clive, that was a great listen with some 'top' questions.
I've become a big JS fan and I think he speaks really well. In depth, honest, intelligent, exploratory answers with little cliche and no bullsh1t. All in his second language!
Whatever the story/history behind the Kolli situation may be he is very clear where it stands now. I really liked the straight up nature of his reply/stance and I take him at his word. It is clearly up to Kolli to shape up, get his head down and make the most of his talent. The kind of football we are playing now is made for him, and our current combination of high number of chances created with under performing XG is crying out for someone who can strike a ball like he does. Come on son, are you up for it?
Absolutely love the whole 'standards' thing. Clearly more than just empty words. There will be no exemptions. Good.
Listening to him you can really see how his philosophical and psychological understanding and his ability to convey it to the players must play a huge part in the uptick of the quality and bravery we are showing on the ball this season. Getting them to trust themselves and the process, knowing results will come off that All with a lot of determination, belief and good old fashioned fight thrown in. Marvellous.
What are you talking about!!!? Ronnie has been instrumental in our good/great start and the way we now play positively with less fear on the ball. Nothing like Sam.
I love how we're still pushing for a third, not retreating into our 6 yard box. Probably will for the last few mins but this front foot fearless stuff is great to see.
Burrell's been a bit shown up technically when playing out wide so far. Potential for getting on the end of through balls inside his fullback but when he gets the ball out wide faced up it's a bit of a challenge for him.
Looking forward to the football Edwards, Madsen and Chair can play through the middle if they keep up the positive, quick passing mindset we've seen so far this season. Probably easier said than done against a hard working, well prepared Mowbray team. Good test this.
Sure, "Ultras" and all that nonsense, easy for us to get sniffy and I don't doubt they had some dickheads in the leadership because, you know, people. But it always looked and sounded like they generated a loud and consistent atmosphere every game. And in a time of ever increasing atmosphere killing, cameraphone wielding, tourist based attendances in the Premier League Global Circus Show a few local lads getting organised to support their local team with a bit of noise and passion isn't all bad. Better than them wandering around Croydon in a Man U or fkin Real Madrid shirt.
Back in my early 90's, meditation heavy, quest for the true experience of oneness with all creation this tune made me realise I was not alone. Perfection.
