Windsor Davies RIP
at 18:57 19 Jan 2019

There is probably a lot on here who don't remember the golden days of comedy on the BBC. From the 70s was, It Aint Half Hot Mum was always a must watch show .
Sadly one of the leading characters RSM Williams ( Windsor Davies 88 ) has passed away.
He even had a hit record with Rochdale's own Don Estelle.
Thanks for the laughs Windsor RIP.

Walking through Rochdale exchange this morning past H Samuel, the shutters were down and a notice saying this store has closed down. There has been a H Samuel in Rochdale for as long as I can remember. Still every thing will be ok once our multi million £ white elephant has been built. Boots and I think River Island will be leaving the exchange, leaving a couple of big empty spaces.

Boxing

I am not a big fan of boxing, I might watch the odd fight. The last one I watched was someone called Tyson Fury. Who made a bit of a dick of himself before his last fight.
It appears he has been enjoying some Columbian marching powder. Seems he has pulled out of his latest fight with the bloke he beat last time. Some one said he had mental health issues. Really.

Rochdale girl scores in Rio
at 23:43 19 Aug 2016

Nicole White, from Smithy Bridge, helped GB ladies win the gold medal in the hockey final. With GB 3-2 down Nicola popped up to force the ball over the line, and take the game into a penalty shoot out. Which GB won 2-0. And create a bit of history. Well done to Nicola and the girls, and another gold medal for GB.

I see Cheikhou Kouyates red card has ben rescinded for his sending off against Crystal Palace. To me it looked a straight red card. But there again what do I know. It was far worse than Ian Henderson's wrap around the legs tackle, It is the second red card this season he has had rescinded , and West Hams third . The Hammers must have a bloody good lawyer.

Old lags Athletic

They do like to try and rehabilitate old lags at Owdum. Its been going on since the late 60s/early 70s. They signed a player from Everton who had robbed a Post Office. A standing joke at the time, was the first thing he said at BP, was where is the nearest Post Office.

No its serious, where do they get those people from. The FA want papers to ban publishing junior football results, as not to upset the losers. FFS.
