I Remember You

Remember this as a kid, Mum must have bought it. We would take great delight on removing the centre part of the single and placing it off centre on the old dansett record player. Improved the song no end!😂

Departures in the development squad
at 11:45 13 May 2024

The reality is that is they aren’t being loaned out to league one clubs at 18-19 then they will never be good enough. I suspect that Rangers could pick up a few rough diamonds in League Two or lower who have played in those divisions since the age of 18 and have had that hardening up against players of similar quality.

Never saw him as a player but remember him having the unenviable task of following Dave Sexton as manager. And if I’m correct he is the youngest ever player to play for Rangers as well as being the youngest ever manager. Probably did every job at the club bar chairman.

Back then the Sunday People would publish their predicted league tables for each of the four divisions and Rangers were up there in that prediction.

Aaron Drewe
at 16:59 9 May 2024

To be honest nowhere good enough. We’ve all agreed that Kakay is not championship standard, although I think he would be League One, but Drewe was well behind Kakay and at the age of 23 should have made the right back spot his own if he was good enough, as Darnell did. His loan moves some volumes, mainly non-league. Our kids if good enough should at worse be loaned to league one clubs. But frankly they have not been good enough and released as soon as possible rather than being allowed to hang on until their early 20’s.

Kakay Departs
at 09:31 7 May 2024

Over the last six seasons we have had various players sign for the club to fill the right back/right wing back role. Rangel, Odebajo, Kane, Laird, Cannon to my memory. In between this Kakay has been called upon to cover either for injury or loss of form. He has seen off three of these players and I’m sure most would agree that you would rather pick him infront if Odebajo, Kane and Laird every time with a ‘jury’s our notice on Cannon. Only Rangel for me I would pick in front of Ossis. And it is only now that we have had a decent right back for the last few months in Jimmy Dunne, but again, we don’t know whether this was a purple patch as opposed to the norm. Ossie, always gave 100% and in many games for me when we were woeful stood head and shoulders above the rest of the team. I can only say thanks Ossie and the very best of luck for what should be a long and decent career in football.

As chairman of our club I hope this was in response to the behaviour of those scumbags towards Mark Prince at half time. If Leeds as a club had any kind of morality about it they should not only put out a statement on their website apologising for their supporters but also make a sizeable donation to the KPF.

When I got to my seat I greeted the guy next to me and when he asked me what I thought on the game I said it’ll probably be typical Rangers and we thump them 3 or 4 nil. I think I’ll start the first match Fred of the new season!

Chelsea sell 2 hotels.....

Was listening to White and Jordan on Talksport about this with a football finance expert and according to this guy the PL have not at this time approved the sale proceeds to form part of North Battersea’s accounts for P&S calculations. Thinks that they are still very much in the shît. And certainly other PL clubs will kick up massively if this is allowed to count.

Remember his tearing Phil Neal a new one when we beat Liverpool 3-1 at home in the 77-78 season. Best game he had for the club.

A couple in my collection built up in my yoof, Pearl Harbour Clash, which was the Canadian release of their first album. Had an external sleeve to the cover which was blue instead of green as issued in this country. Also included a 7” of Gates of the West. Also got a coloured 7” vinyl of Dont Cry Wolf by The Damned.

Unbelievable
at 08:41 30 Mar 2024

Was watching a video on YouTube made by a Newcastle fans about the expansion of SJP. he explained that at this time the club is stuck with the Grade 2 listed Leazes Terrace behind one of the stands. He also spoke of a conversation he had with a season ticket holding counsellor who happened to live in Leazes Terrace who stated that many Prem clubs are now looking at optimising their ground capacity rather than maximising it. The article about North Battersea SS charging £5k to sit behind a bunch of egotistical money grabbing bang average footballers sexting to numerous females whilst 11 of their so called colleagues slouch around the pitch waiting for the ref to call time is a prime example of this. One £5k ticket sold to some nomark tourist is the equivalent of 185 adult tickets sold at HQ.

Was there as well. 0-0 if I remember right my, then a couple of years later for Ramsey’s first game, won 2-0. Ground emptied at half time. Great goal by Zamora. But what a drive back. Freezing fog patches along the A1 made life very interesting.

Just been reading the West Brom message board and such comments other than being very impressed were ‘This QPR team should be top of the league’, ‘on this display they should be challenging for the top two’, ‘best team we have played all season’ and my favourite so far ‘it’s been like playing Man City without the goals!’

Baggies Or Not Baggies... QPR Vs WBA Match Thread
at 09:07 3 Mar 2024

Given that the match will be played just two days after the 57th anniversary of our greatest day as a club I’ll go for a 3-2 win after being two down at half time to a Matt Phillips double. The comeback will start with a Jimmy Dunne goal followed by a Ilias Chair equaliser and a Paul Smyth winner after Steve Cook’s hard but fair challenge on their keeper.
