Could the game be cancelled?
at 11:37 28 Feb 2018

Currently snowing very, very hard in Central London. Blizzard coming down sideways in the Liverpool Street area! Given there's already a lot of snow on the ground from overnight, this will be settling too.

The game has to be in doubt as it stands. I'm sure the pitch will be ok, but surrounding areas and transport will be a major issue.

If it goes ahead, we can expect a record low attendance for the new Wembley. I'll be surprised if more than 10,000 Spurs fans turn up.

With City going out ...

I think it may mean Poch goes a little stronger, yes.

Certainly that's what the fans want!!

Pitch not good
at 14:04 19 Feb 2018

As a Spurs fan it is going to be hard to say this without it sounding like an excuse (FWIW, you played excellently and deserved the draw), but the pitch really wasn't very good. It was certainly bobbly, although this isn't really an issue, it was more the fact players seemed to lose their footing quite regularly (insert Dele Alli penalty joke) and it was cutting up quite a bit during the game. I'd be concerned about the impact of the rugby game on it tonight.

I think you've got most of the links already, but you might be interested in this piece on our website:

You only get 3,000 for Premier League away games so this will be our biggest following for a while.

Manchester to Rochdale trains on Sunday
at 23:08 12 Feb 2018

Thanks for the responses, the tram sounds like the best option. Although I'll already be up in Manchester on Saturday night, so won't be going via Piccadilly on the Sunday. One tram from Victoria to Rochdale looks good. Better option than a cab!

No - our allocation is fully sold out to season ticket holders.

Our last away game which wasn't oversubscribed by season ticket holders was Sunderland on a Tuesday night - last January I think!

Manchester to Rochdale trains on Sunday
at 21:47 12 Feb 2018

Quick question or two. It looks like there are no trains from Manchester Victoria to Rochdale on Sunday. Firstly is that correct? I'm just basing that on trainline saying I need to get a bus.

Probably going to jump in a cab instead of a bus, so any estimates on how much a cab should be from the Manchester Victoria area to Rochdale before the game? Doesn't look too far so hoping it's reasonable?

Also would really appreciate if anyone could let me know where should be best to find cabs after the game, to get back into Manchester?

Cheers!

As anticipated we have sold out the away end. It didn't even get past season ticket holders, so not a sniff for members let alone general sale. Should be a great atmosphere in all 4 stands on Sunday.

Would usually go with "another yid here" but can't really be arsed with the inevitable conversations that would follow!

Pitch
at 13:41 8 Feb 2018

Your pitch is significantly worse than Newport's, which was just a bit bobbly really.

Actually though, I think Poch's quotes are more around possibly asking Levy to fund a re-surfacing ahead of our game. The full quote includes - "I will speak to Levy and see what can be done".

Out of interest - would you guys accept that if offered? Or is the increased chance your pitch gives you more important to you?

SPURS COMING TO DALE
at 13:00 8 Feb 2018

Hi All, Spurs fan in peace here.

Firstly, I've seen a couple of mentions of the fighting cock forum. Annoyingly that's the first result when you search Tottenham forum, so lots of opposition fans read posts from that one. That forum is basically an unmoderated clusterf*ck of nutters who are banned from the other, more sensible Spurs forums! Some really decent blokes on there, but a lot of absolute weapons too. You'll get far more balanced views on Spurscommunity for example.

Also I've seen a bit of talk about our away end. Looks like we're being given somewhere around 3500-4000 (?!) which is absolutely brilliant. There's absolutely no doubt we will sell that out. Not one single away game has gone on sale to anyone but season tickets in the last 12 months, and most games require 300+ loyalty points (for which you'd need to have been to about 70% of games for the last 4 seasons). This allocation means hopefully a few people with lower points might get a shout, but it will still definitely sell out, and maybe to ST holders only still. I think we would sell out 8,000+ if we were given it (not suggesting you should give us that of course!).

What can we expect from Rochdale? Newport were the big, strong, long-throw, set piecey type of team. I hope you won't be offended by saying they were the stereotypical lower league outfit. And that caused us a lot of problems especially in the wind and rain at Rodney Parade. Are you a similar type of team, or is it more looking to get the ball down and play (if the pitch allows!)? If it's the latter I do think we will find it a lot more comfortable. I fully expect us to go strong. We have Juventus away midweek before this game, but a full 7 day break until the following Monday evening after. No reason we won't play a full strength team. Kane, Eriksen, Vertonghen, Son, Alli, Dier etc should all feature.

Finally, and most importantly, what pubs are there for away fans near Spotland? I'll be coming up so looking for somewhere to drink pre-game!
