I wasn’t “trashing” their legacy. A slight overreaction to my post I think. They went for promotion, I wanted promotion. It didn’t work out. We move on. |

My point was that we did spend money before. We have also got the age of the squad down. I do agree that it’s too early to judge the recruitment yet. We need to see how much we can get in. I do think we are doing things differently but that doesn’t change the fact that the injuries are a complete mess again |

I love Les as a player and think Warburton was our best manager since Warnock. But look where those “pushes” to get into the playoffs got us? So what if we finished 11th one season if we ended up close to breathing FFP again and with the squad that Gareth had to deal with in that 23-24 season. You are right in that Nourry, Warburton, Les and Stephan are all equally ambitious. The difference is that now we are trying to buy younger and sell for profit, at the same time as trying to improve the first team position in the league. Before we got likes Austin, Johansen….focus on quality now, money on wages not transfer fees. Let’s not kid ourselves that we didn’t spend money before, we spent it on wages not transfer fees. Brian, I don’t think / hope, we’ll fall out. I don’t care whether I’m proved right or wrong, just want us to succeed for a change. And that’s true of most qpr fans I think. For me, there are very good reasons why I think we are in a better place since Nourry came in. You only have to look at the squad that Gareth had, it required a serious overhaul. And that takes time. But, I cannot continue to ignore the issues we have with squad availability. The last 2 seasons were shocking. I hoped / expected changes but at the very least an admission of mistakes and changes and improvements. As said before, I don’t blame them for Mbengue injury. But all the others? The sheer number of injuries can’t be just bad luck. I think maybe my annoyance is worse than most because I’ve liked the recruitment over last 2-3 years. It’s different, younger players, and not just players that “know the club” or “know English football” nonsense. It’s been varied and youthful and promising. We’ve also stuck by a good young coach who is proven in developing players. But all that good stuff is completely and utterly pointless if we continue to have these ridiculous amount of injuries. This season can quickly go down the pan and it’s so depressing. |

I’m a big defender of the club. And I am (still) a supporter of what Nourry has done and is doing. I don’t think the club can do anything about Mbengue injury. And we knew about Lamptey. But the injury situation is totally unacceptable. It may cost us getting into the playoffs. With our fit squad, we can compete with the best sides. So frustrating and I feel like a complete muppet for trying to defend the medical / support side of the club. 3 years in a row. It’s totally unacceptable. Wake up Nourry. It’s going to cost us big time. |

Well personably I’d have put Varane in and packed the midfield. I guess other option was playing 2 up front. But I doubt anything would have made a difference on Saturday. Be interesting to see whether Vale starts next 2 games. I would like to see Saito given a run of games in the attacking central mid role behind the striker. |

Other than Kone, the biggest disappointment this season. |

God I wish we had a game tomorrow or Wednesday. Going to be a long old week. |

Dunne and Edwards would be other options. But obviously Adamson and Lamptey would be preferred. |

Playing Wednesday night and away on Saturday is also a big factor. We were missing Mbengue, Cirkin, Burrell, Chair, Dembele, Lamptey. Cirkin - suspended, and Burrell injured on international duty. Mbengue, freak injury, and Dembele ACL in a challenge. Not sure what the club is supposed to do about that. There is a huge drop off between Burrell and other strikers. And between Madsen and Kamara starting compared to when they’re not. |

Stephan said a couple of weeks before West Ham game. Personally I think him and Chair may be on bench for Swansea. Cirkin back too, and Saito on bench, so we are getting players back. Not much news on Lamptey though. Or Mbengue. |

Fully agree. We can compete with the best sides but we need our best eleven. I’m still not 100% want that is though…..certainly Charles, Edwards, Dunne, Kamara, Madsen, Burrell, Chair……and it should be Lamptey and Cirkin (but Kemper for me at present). |

Watching Burnley Wolves…makes me even happier we have the squad and manager we do. Look at ages and names in Burnley squad, do they really care about the club they are playing for? |
 | Forum Reply | Injuries at 21:54 15 Oct 2026
Well yeah but Kemper needed to go off. Hindsight and all that but maybe give Morrison some time |
 | Forum Reply | That Boy Kemper at 21:44 15 Oct 2026
Well our best full backs this season have been Kemper and Adamson. I certainly wasn’t expecting that. |

Just to add to the Derby debate. They are no way as bad has been made out and pretty sure they will end up mid table….especially when they get some of their injured players back. But their starting 11 was average age of 27 1/2. That’s 3 years older than us. |

I hated fact that he got dragged into the Kolli debate. Some right old rubbish said about him. He doesn’t deserve it. A good young pro who has done everything this club has asked of him. Listen to what Dunne says about him, if in any doubt. |

I do hear that “when everyone is fit, he wouldn’t start”. Really? For me, Smyth and Poku are the first choice out wide. Chair would get in as the attacking midfielder, but no one in squad (even Chair) should replace Smyth out wide. |

But what can the club do about that? I get last couple of seasons it’s been bad but Kemper got injured in tackle against Portsmouth, Cirkin suspended, we need to manage minutes of Kemper. Maybe we could have brought Morrison on or JCS, and Edwards to right back. Mbengue gets injured as foot gets caught in turf. Just not sure we can blame club for that. |
