Nourry
at 08:32 25 Oct 2026

To state the obvious, Nourry is no more responsible for the 5-0 against Swansea than the 0-3 against Birmingham.
His role is to set the strategy and oversee all areas of the club operations, not the team performance in individual games. As such there are areas that he has done well but other areas not so good. In particular, the situation with regard to player injuries/ fitness is one that he needs to address quickly or it will totally derail the overall strategy.
The criticisms that have been made on the message board last week are no less valid because of Saturday’s result.

Injuries
at 16:06 23 Oct 2026

So, let’s go back to Madsen’s injury.
He was on the bench against Birmingham which implies that he could have been used by JS if needed, depending on the game situation.
He didn’t come on as sub and we then get told he will be out injured until the minimum of mid-November.
Now, either
1) he already had the injury prior to Birmingham , in which case why was he a sub, or
2) he was left out of the team to give him a rest and ensure that he wasn’t being over-used but then suffered the injury post-Birmingham in training, in which case the training was at fault.
We have seen this with a number of other players this year where they have been rested or minutes reduced and yet then still manage to pick up an injury next time out. Something is seriously wrong with the way that their fitness is being managed.

What has happened to Richard Kone?
at 18:03 5 Sep 2026

Like many, I was really looking forward to seeing Kone in his second year of Championship football. Instead he seems to have lost all confidence at the moment. Today his lay off play was terrible, he never won a ball in the air and every pass went astray. Also his body language looked awful. It was almost a relief when he went off injured.
I hope that he rediscovers his mojo pretty quickly.

Got my ticket for Millwall and the Team playing today are ??
at 07:47 19 Jul 2026

Reasons for treating the game seriously:-
1) it is one of only three competitions we are in this year
2) it creates a a buzz if we get on a cup run
3) we could draw a premier league club in next round
4) it gives the team the opportunity to play a competitive match before the league starts
5) a cup run puts players in the spotlight for sale in next transfer window
6) on a cup run the club sell more tickets and merchandise
7) when we rest the first team, we always seem to lose the next game badly!!
8) creating a winning mentality is good for both team and fans

Did anyone at the club ever try to explain what their rationale was for the team picked for Plymouth last season?

What have I missed?
Normally the club broadcast all the friendly games on QPR+, but no mention that I can see regarding tonight’s game with First Vienna.

50 years ago today..... 4th May 1976 Wolves v Liverpool

I was at York University at the time, listening on the radio. I remember going to the student bar to drown my sorrows, only to make a quick retreat when finding it full of loud happy Liverpool fans.

Robbers or fools

Appalling food, drink and (most of all) service for many years.

It is particularly frustrating because:-

1) the club are missing out on substantial income

2) the match day experience could be so much better - particularly for fans with young kids and new visitors to LR

3) other clubs have moved on from the 1980s.

Of course regulars can choose to eat / drink in C&S, Westfield etc. but that is no excuse for the crap that the Club provide. The fact that the catering is outsourced is also no excuse - part of any outsourcing agreement should be minimum standards on choice and service.

Loftus Road - as it used to be
at 10:53 8 Feb 2026

For my birthday, my daughters got me a framed photo of HQ from 1928.
It’s really fascinating to see how it used to be. They only started building the White City Estate in the 1930’s and I guess that the big buildings to the west in the photo are left over from the Great Exhibition - the original ‘White City’.
The only stand was Ellerslie Road and that stayed there until it was finally replaced in 1972 ( perfect timing by Jim Gregory, as that was the year we got promoted to 1st division). I still remember that when a ball was kicked on to the roof of the old stand pre 1972, there would be a shower of rust falling on the spectators below.
Also interesting that the entrances in Loftus Road and Ellerslie Road have remained unchanged.
Anyway, I thought that it was worth sharing. Hope the link works.

There is a Jam Museum in Tiptree , Essex including such memorable exhibits as ‘marmalade’s contribution to the 2nd world war’.
I kid you not.

Corners and Free Kicks
at 08:59 6 Nov 2025

12 corners and numerous free kicks and never once looked like scoring from any of them.
We never try anything different or even simple things like putting a player in front of of their goalie. Why isn’t Madsen taking them?
At the same time we concede two shambolic goals from free kicks against Ipswich.
Do we have a ‘set piece’ coach? If so, who is he and what has he been doing?
In Norrie speak, is the issue methodology or performance?

Walsh/Nardi 🙌
at 15:18 14 Sep 2025

The big positive for Nardi is his distribution. In my view this more than compensates for his failure to collect crosses.
When passing or throwing the ball to defenders he shows a confidence and ability to quickly find a player in space. In comparison, Walsh hesitates and is too predictable, immediately putting the defender under pressure. Also when Nardi went direct yesterday he often kicked sensibly towards Dunne rather than an aimless boot forward.
Going back to problem with crosses, this wasn’t helped by Wrexham putting someone directly in front of him at corners with no QPR defender standing between them. At one corner, he was bundled to the floor and only just got up in time to make a save.

Julien Stéphan talks dreams, transfers, and that Coventry game – Interview
at 09:29 11 Sep 2025

Thanks Clive, it’s really good news that the management appear to have recognised the value of being more open with LFW.

JS generally comes across well. One part where he was struggling was in trying to answer the question re team selection for Plymouth. Despite twice stating that it was his decision, he couldn’t help but then refer to ‘we decided’ a few times afterwards. A less than convincing reply.

Preston Reflection
at 19:02 9 Aug 2025

First half was above all expectations given our pre-season displays and the lineup. However, Preston brought us down to their level in the 2nd.
I thought that Morgan looked great at right back and, on that showing has to be competition for Dunne, let alone Adamson.
Also Madsen had a really good 1st half and showed that a CM pairing of him and Field is possible. He took on his defensive duties well and his distribution was miles above anyone else.

I didn’t think that the goal was Mbengue’s fault, as he was up for the corner. It was down to whoever was meant to be staying back to watch the Preston forward.

Many thanks Clive. Brilliant work and I totally agree with your comments re Sheffield Wednesday ownership.

So, I guess that leaves 18th place for QPR. Can you remind me where you placed us last year?
