If I can ask Judd to ascertain an update on the views of the exiting the Car Park at the rear of the WMG stand. I mentioned towards the end of last season that I fully understood the Clubs response regarding the Ambulance route, so I am not advocating opening the gate from the Car Park towards Wilbutts Lane. We now have to start thinking that we have over 1,000 extra people who have bought season tickets, some may have been casual attendees and some may be first time attendees. The egress from the Car Park to Wilbutts Lane is hampered by the bollards between the gate and the stand. A number of accidents, minor ones, but accidents all the same, occurred last season as people walked into, or tripped over the bollards as they left the stadium. An almost 3 feet piece of cardboard around the bollard, cannot be seen when it is surrounded by a group, at some stage someone will be hurt and God forbid launch an action against the club. Two things can help, one is to ensure on night games, the club could utilise the lights fitted to the Rear of the WMG Stand, which would then effectively light the area and highlight the two concrete stumps with cardboard around them.
Secondly increase the height of them in some way to ensure they are visible, or have stewards standing in front of them. Before anyone says that reduces the width even further, yes it does but spectator safety is what the Club will be concerned about.
Lastly, I know this gets mentioned a lot, but again we have increased numbers attending. The last few years has seen the Exit Gate at the junction of Sandy Lane and Wilbutts Lane kept closed. The capacity of the Sandy Lane stand is partly calculated on the Exit Gates and the width of the exit routes to them, the exit currently being used is also part of the capacity calculations for the Main Stand. Both sides of the Sandy Lane have exits that narrow as you leave the stand which causes a bottle neck effect. You can get away with not using one of the Exits as a one off, if it is not to be used then they need to notify the Local Authority who can then reduce the capacity of the stand. In the past the response has been it has never been used, that is, as long standing supporters know wrong. I do get on games with a potential for Public Disorder a decision can be made to prevent rival spectators confronting each other but on the other 20 home games there is nothing to stop the Club using both. We keep being told they want to make the spectator valued, and it to be an enjoyable experience if this is the case why are we continually inconveniencing some of our supporters. |

Offering shares in the club to the local Council is not for me, we have seen in very recent times that Councillors are not always favourable towards the Club. In a few years time, the relationship between the Club and Council may be even better than now, it may be worse, they float with the wind, and their shares in the Club can be sold to help any cause they see fit.
I appreciate with the Ogdens in control we are more likely, than not, to retain a cordial relationship with them, than not. But we have to think really long term if the Ogdens ever leave the club, what would the relationship be then.
I am all for us conducting increasing activities in relationship with the Council, and I think that would be extremely beneficial to both parties, but there is no need whatsoever to think of the Council as anything other than a working partner and not a shareholder.
I remember the views when the Club managed to buy back everything from the old Stadium Company, meaning we now owned everything ourself and I think that should remain in our thoughts. |

There have been some posts about the issue of exiting the Car Park on foot from Pearl Street to Wilbutts Lane, with the gate being closed causing a narrowing of the exit route.
Fully understand the Clubs repsonse regarding the Ambulance route, but surely to alleviate the issues and make the route safer, the club could utilise the lights fitted to the Rear of the WMG Stand, which would then effectively light the area and highlight the two concrete stumps with cardboard around them.
The lights have not been on either Pre or Post match for some time. |

I have decided to dispose of my programme collection, which ranges from the late 1970’s to about 2005.
Most of them are complete seasons and are contained in a number of plastic storage boxes.
If no-one wants them, I will make a trip to the local tip and get shut of them there.
Not going to go through them for individual requests, so it is a case of if you want them, you take the lot.
Let me know, if anyone wants them, I will give it to the end of the month and then they have to go.
