 | Forum Reply | Nightmare start to the New Year as Norwich beat QPR again - Report at 12:05 3 Jan 2026
All in this report Clive, my god Rangers don't half know how to disappoint their fans. As soon as that 1st Norwich goal went in, just knew it was all over for us. Is it the Barry Bannan show we will have to suffer yet again on Sunday?, watched that bloke quite a few times at Loftus Road just run the game for Sheff Wed, just hope we actually turn up, if not it is classic Charity Park Rangers again! |
 | Forum Reply | Gaffer on today's defeat at 06:06 2 Jan 2026
I thought Norwich did a real number on us, they had the game plan and basically took their chances. Once that 1st goal went in it was game up for Rangers, was impressed by Norwich's No.33 at the back was marshalling that defence well. Too much tinkering with the personnel by our manager and we look a bit of a shambles again. I actually thought Hayden was decent today and making a lot of good challenges in midfield, afraid Morgan looked out of touch when he came on and made some poor passes and got caught for their second goal. |

I knew as soon as the first ten minutes unfolded that we were just not at this game, Norwich looked more up for it and it was obvious whoever scored first would win this. Their defence well in control especially no.33 who was their best player. Our boys looked well off it and got punished. |

Really poor today, outfoxed by a Norwich team who had us in their back pocket, especially their number 33 in central defence . Morgan had a mare when he came on, thought Hayden should not have been taken off. |
 | Forum Reply | Chaotic team selection, chaotic outcome as R's slip at West Brom - Report at 13:41 31 Dec 2025
Great report sums up all that is QPR, hopefully through chaos comes some sort of order, well more likely at least at home. I know it sounds bad, but I sort of write off these away non-performances and with renewed hope of what I am now watching at Loftus Road a team that goes for it. Let's hope the next 2 games see us at our Loftus Road best. |

This is how it seems to me, go all out on the home matches, and toss off the away games. This is a hard sell especially for those that do the hard miles travelling to the away games, but we have looked so powder puff at home for years, that this season we actually look good at home and the crowd are responding and people are turning up. Home attendances and atmosphere seem to mirror this, from what I can tell, actually look forward to home matches again after the dross we have been served at Loftus Road for quite a few seasons. Personally didn't expect much from Portsmouth and West Brom games, was a bit of a bonus we actually didn't get slaughtered in either game and managed a draw at Pompey. On the positive side we are 9 points better off than this time last season and sit in the top 10 in the league. |

We lost, we move on, got away with a draw at Portsmouth, tonight we didn't. Expected changes ok so some didn't work but looking at where we are this year to this time last year it is much more positive. Two home games in quick succession that we should look to win and keep our home form on the up. |

Worth giving both Pokku and Smyth starts tonight for Dembele and Saito, might also be worth giving Burrell a rest and going with Kone up front as lone striker. This game is a bit of a free hit and worth trying some changes, Morrison needs to get back in the defence as well as Hayden in midfield. |

Turned up in 2nd half, point fine by me when in 1st half looked like a usual away defeat as we were awful. Jimmy Dunne again. |

Another stodgy away non performance, looks like Boxing Day away record continues. They just don't appear interested. |

Please Rangers turn up and give us the hope of a first away Boxing Day win since 1967. |

A fine footballer, especially in the golden days of Clough's Notts Forest in the late 1970s. |
 | Forum Reply | Could we go up. at 08:46 22 Dec 2025
We are an improving team but not near the standard of let's say a lower reach premier team. Progress this season would be a solid top 10 finish maybe a push to secure a play off place. If we can continue on this positive trajectory then maybe next season we could be in a much stronger place for contention. Look at Coventry they have been building up to where they are for a few seasons, and they should go up this year, also Millwall are now a top 10 solid team with a chance of the play offs, it can be done without the parachute money. I am enjoying going to Loftus Road this season, the team and atmosphere are so much better than what we have endured for a few seasons. |
 | Forum Thread | Old School - 4-4-2 At Home at 16:05 21 Dec 2025
Eureka, we have a manager and players with the old 4-4-2 system on our tight pitch that is paying dividends. It's not rocket science but others are talking about QPR's style and it is great to see. Loving it at home this season, we look a different proposition than we have for years at Loftus Road. Having 2 decent strikers helps, but look at those wide players we have, Mbengue who is now a revelation at right back, Norrington-Davies solid and brilliant. Attacking down the wings we can switch between Saito, Dembele, Smyth and Poku, and Chair great option as well. Good times ahead if we can keep the momentum up and now starting to put the the frightners on teams coming to Loftus Road where for quite a few seasons been a soft touch. Big shout out to our home support this season as well, we are behind the team and it all helps. [Post edited 21 Dec 2025 16:07]

Tremendous today, all over by half time. Mbengue absolute nutter of a player, what a goal. Dembele alive again and Madsen super in midfield and Kone confidence just oozed after his goal |

Thought Marti did a great job, getting us out of a right hole after the Beale, Critchley and Ainsworth debacle. I always liked Warburton think he improved standards at QPR and the football was good. I never really subscribed to all this plan b stuff, we just ran out of steam and there was obviously politics going on behind the scene. A Eustace/Warburton coach and director would I think have taken us forward, but it was not to be. With Julien starting to warm to him, we do have a much better all round squad this season and so far the important focus on getting playing well and winning at home has started to happen, we are still lightweight away from Loftus Road, but when was it never thus, not good travellers in my opinion the Rangers, the focus needs to be on winning at home and building on that, because far too many teams have come to Loftus Road in last 10 years and pulled our pants down regularly. This season only Ipswich have really done that and maybe Millwall, although we could have drawn that game. |

Think Patterson would be a decent signing, lots of Championship experience. We need a keeper that can command their area, Nardi just does not catch or come confidently enough when crosses are piled in and flaps at punches. Walsh has had his confidence shot to bits at Coventry in my opinion. |
