I thought Kone was a bit better today.

As ever. Adamson and Kolli weren't great for their goal.

I dont mind the colour at all, but it clashes with both blue and red shirts so it's rarely usable.

What has happened to Charles distribution today? A way off what it's been recently

If we get a pen can we bring Madsen on to take it? Looks like we can if we still have subs available which surprises me. Don't remember seeing that.

I thought Chair got his studs caught in the Loftus Road turf early in the game with Boro, so I've wondered like somebody else about our pitch. But in trying to verify that I see the fella who wrote the Match Report thought it was a calf strain, but then I thought I heard Stefan say (maybe wrongly) we've had no soft tissue inuries this season! Lamptey first injury when he sat down? Burrell? Saito? As the Club don't seem to say what the injury is anymore, it's very hard to know which is probably their aim.

No, I'm in Thailand, and watched the game with Tyler by himself commentating.

I was many years ago but let it slide because I'm away half the time. Had some good days in pubs in Oslo watching games mostly in our 2010/11 promotion season, organised by Norwegian R's, and yes they organised trips to games back then at least. If you got Facebook just search for QPR Norway and you'll find photos of the event in Bergen, and comments in Norwegian. Don Shanks, Phil Parkes and Dave Thomas were all there along with Andy Sinton.

Unbeaten away, struggling at home

If the Club have ambitions to reach the top 8 this season then it looks like we need a better striker to me. Both Kone and Burrell have gone back so far this season, Kone obviously, but Burrell has not shown the turbo charged pace he had prior to his hamstring injury last season. He's not been winning the ball on the press like he did before the injury, unfortunately, and he's injured again with who knows what. I don't see either scoring a lot for a while, at least until they are fully fit and back to their best. As you say Kolli and Lloyd are support/back-up, and we've barely seen Obikwu. Hope of course one of them at least starts scoring regularly, starting tonight.

From what I read it wasn't so much a "warm down" session but a practice game for their players who hadn't played or had only played a few minutes. Apparently they are doing this regularly after matches.

Yes, I'm hoping we can make the stretch for a new striker in January even if it means we have to sell to finance it. Unfortunately injuries are also beginning to make us look short in both senses on the wings.

Bowen's tackle before the goal - good tackle or should have been called?
at 14:12 12 Oct 2026

Exactly as I saw it, plus when the WHU player won the ball he was outside the penalty area, but was inside it when he took Smyth's legs out as he fell. That took away Smyth's possibility of retrieving the ball in a dangerous position and why I think he gave the penalty. All this he took the ball bollox outside the area is irrelevant.

Injuries
at 08:18 12 Oct 2026

I expect our continuing injury problems are down to multiple reasons, our continueing practice of signing players with historic injury issues, the increase in speed and physicality of the game, the increasingly tight schedule in the Championship especially for International players among them. The Club said they were doing a major review of this in the summer just gone, but I've not heard any results, has anyone?

It seems that they are taking greater care with player recovery as perhaps Kemper's planned substitution after 70 minutes is an example of. One thing I wonder about but not seen much talk about either from the Club or on here, though someone on another forum has banged on about it a lot, is it really just coincidental that this apparent increase in soft tissue injuries coincides with our move to the new training ground in the summer of 2023. Have the Club done proper testing of the pitches to ensure that they don't just look good, but are not too hard or otherwise contributing to these injuries?

All the the replays, clips I've seen of this are from too long a distance for my eyes to see if that tackle was good or not.

Didn't know that, thanks. Tyler was by himself, Sinton in Norway Tyler said, so less information than normal.

Tyler on QPR+ was also concerned for Kemper for a minute or two during the game , he was struggling with something physical. He didn't elaborate and they were probably on a a minute long focus of someone in the stands at the time.

Who has say over players ?

Don't agree in general, it's a 3 game week and Kemper has been out 2 months, but specifically Cirkin got a 3 match ban as I recall so won't be available for Wednesday or Saturday.
