What is up with you all!?
at 21:23 11 Dec 2023

All I can see on here is talk of how much the ground is worth for housing or resigning from the league and starting off much lower.

All way to defeatist! We havent run up a massive debt like Bury, we just cant continue to spend more than we generate. We need a complete reset, slash all the budgets, run the club on skeleton staff, utilise the voluntary army, put the price of season tickets back up. The 2,000 core fans would still get behind this done correctly. Then its all our jobs to grow the fanbase, run initiatives after initiatives, give loads of free tickets away to kids, get people in the stadium. Rochdale is a big town with a large population, start actually trying to tap into this. We have never done this consistently and properly.

In the meantime we should still have 2,000 fans turning up, more than at least half the clubs in this league, paying more sustainable ST prices, with a cut budget. We should still be able to be competitive in this league. If it results in us being relegated again then so be it, we will certainly be competitive in the league below. Then when we get the club back in shape and have hopefully grown the fan base we can rise again. Who knows in 10 years time we might be back in the EFL with average gates of 4,500/5000 and a more sustainable club.

Either way, Spotland is our home we should not be looking to move away or lose it, we should also not be actively looking to play at a lower lever, just let that natural happen if the budget we can muster makes that the case. I just want to turn up to Spotland on a Saturday and watch a team give it there all to win, if thats in the National League, L2, or NLN or below then so be it.

Replica shirt - Lets smash our record
at 14:03 25 Jul 2020

Throughout this pandemic I have been worried of the impact on our beloved club, no doubt its going to have hit the club hard and we are going to see the repercussions for years to come. I have felt a burning desire to help the club financially (Only a small amount) But if a number of us all did the same it could and should really help out. Im fortunate enough to be in the position to be able to do this and I understand many others would be.

However as a fan base why don't we all come together with a goal in which if reached will help the club financially and we all gain too (New shirt). I know me myself I only buy a new replica shirt now and again and I wouldn't under normal circumstances get this years as I got last years, unless I really liked it. However I am 100% going to be buying one this season and wouldn't it be brilliant if we all or as many of us as possible did the same? Its a way of giving the club £40 (Maybe £20 profit)? each and we all get something back for it.

It would be brilliant if we could really push this and break our record for shirt sales in a single season, again no idea what this actually is.

If you can afford it why not treat yourself and the kids, grandkids, whoever to a new shirt this season and really help the finances of the club.

Im looking forward to a good atmosphere and I'm quietly confident we can get off to a good start.

Away Attendances (TVOS?)
at 11:14 30 Dec 2017

I suppose TVOS will have the answers?

Do you know how many we took to Blackburn? Also if you have a list of all our away followings this season? and away followings brought to us?

Thanks

Morecambe Crowd
at 15:48 22 Nov 2017

927 last night, with I imagine 100/200 from Crewe. I dont think Ive ever seen a FL crowd under a 1,000.

I remember them getting over 2,000 most weeks, Accrington are struggling too despite being 3rd.

Its a shame the people of these towns aren't turning out to support there local professional football team

Atmosphere
at 12:15 30 Oct 2016

Good against Bury poor against Oldham.
- Where was the drum?
- How do we improve the atmosphere at Spotland?
- Does anyone care?

I think it makes the Spotland experience when we get a decent atmosphere going, Its a football ground and I think a decent atmosphere will get fans more excited and coming back more regularly.

I think we need to make it an exciting experience to come to Spotland, I think sometimes especially if its a poor game it can be quite boring and its hardly going to entice people back.

We need to re invent Rochdale AFC, and we are doing it on the pitch. There are plenty of other places and things to be doing on a Saturday afternoon, we need to make people excited and want to come to Spotland.

Appologies if this has already been cleared up but does anyone have any details at all as to when the new shirts are going to be out?

You would have thought everyone would be walking round with them on holiday and at the Rossendale game on Saturday by now but i havent even seen a date yet.
