No attendance submitted for
at 10:12 12 Sep 2021

Yesterday's game hasn't had an attendance figure submitted. Is this an oversight, I think not.
I know we always seem to have trouble counting crowds of over 3,000, but withholding the figure only makes it look dodgy. 4,444

How and what is the distance measured for this ticket? Is it shortest route or as the crow flies? Get well soon Christian.

On Wikipedia? Someone has been renaming employees, which, although slightly amusing, doesn't show fans in a very good light. Let us not sink to the boards level.

Virtually watched opposition
at 09:47 10 Mar 2021

"RAFC’s technical staff have had exclusive access to smarterscout’s complete database since December 2019, as well as tactical analysis of opposing teams during this season." Herein lies the problem, staff don't have opposition watched any more, they look at a computer program.

Are the club doing anything about the centenary of Spotland being the clubs home?

Sorry if it has been mentioned before.

DigitalHDs.com - Avoid like the plague
at 08:57 17 Mar 2020

Just a warning to anyone thinking of buying one of those digital antennas that allow you to watch any TV channel for only the price of the box. This website has either been hacked already or is a front for fraud. People making payments will get piggyback payments appear from an unknown, amounting to hundreds of pounds. Beware!

Sorry to inform you all ...
at 18:19 3 Sep 2019

My Dad, a Dale fan for the last 79 years, sadly passed away on Sunday morning. Anyone who stood in the Sandy Lane end for the past 20 odd years would probably have recognised him in his light coloured coat, thrusting his right arm aloft to celebrate a goal.

He saw his first Dale game during the Second World War when we played in regional divisions. He was one of four generations of our family who attended a game at Gigg Lane together. Quite a remarkable feat back in the 1940`s.

The funeral will not be for a while due to a backlog at Rochdale Crematorium, but anyone wishing to donate something in his name (Philip Ridehaugh) to Spinghill Hospice, can do so without having to contact his family.

You will be sorely missed at Spotland Dad, but you will live on, in me and your grandsons, as we carry on the family tradition.

Good win for youth team
at 09:08 6 Feb 2019

yesterday afternoon the youth defeated Accrington Stanley 3-1. I`m looking forward to seeing if these boys will be kept together long enough for them to appear in the first team as men. I doubt it will ever happen though.

Manager comments

"I'll take responsibility for that performance and I'll look at what I've done and be brave enough to say that. What I need is some of the players brave enough to say that.

"If the fans want to boo me, I'm fine with that. I can't complain about it or say they're unjustified in doing it.

"I'll be man enough to stand outside there and try and turn this thing around."

Gary Rowett, Stoke City.

What a refreshing change!

Fleetwood game

Is it really an evening ko on the 18th or is it just a typo on the official site? The coaches do seem to be leaving a little early for a night match. I hope all Daley`s going to Burton on Saturday have a great day out and they will I know do the club proud.

Annoying matter after such a positive night.
at 12:35 19 Feb 2018

I really cannot understand the club mentality after what was such a special night in the clubs history. It is gone midday on Monday and they STILL have not changed the fixture board on the corner of Willbutts Lane and Sandy Lane. They keep telling us that the league is more important than the cup, yet they have no desire to get as many people as possible through the turnstiles on Wednesday night. How many vehicles will have driven past the ground in the last few hours, not having a clue that we have the most important game of the season, so far, taking place. It saddens me that people can`t be bothered to do their job properly, week after week. It may sound like nit picking, but the little things are just as important as the major tasks and should be treated as equally important.

FAO Pearl Street fans, anyone know Kevin?
at 04:42 10 Nov 2017

Does anyone know a guy named Kevin, who is also a City fan and may not have attended games recently? He is late 60`s and a mobile hairdresser. His customers are unable to reach him on his mobile and I just wondered if anyone knew if he had a landline number. He lives in the Whitworth area. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
