What team do you dislike the most

That’s easy, Millwall.
They’re the London equivalent of Pompey.

Good shout.
Think we should try Archer and Larin together.
Some of our regulars need a break before next week.
You never know Archer might score a couple…..

Interesting. Did you swim out to sit on “the famous mermaid statue “ ???
Never heard of a horse burger in Denmark but I guess if you’re fcking sht faced then a donner kebab after would probably taste like horse meat, no matter where you are….

Agree
It’s comments you’d expect from a 10 year old.
Maybe he is, or someone else is posting on his login.

Good for you..
Now you can have a pork pie for lunch and go to a real fish and chip shop and put loads of salt n vinegar on your chips.
Yes Danish cuisine is awful. We don’t have Hp sauce at the table and you can’t get a fish finger sandwich.
Glad that after 2 years you managed to escape your awful culinary nightmare .
Still if you want to lose weight then Denmark is the place…..

I agree, but can’t you say that for most teams ? The “if only” question.
When you have a player who prefers sitting on the bench for a premier league team than play for us , then that’s his choice and for sure not the club

No worries Mr H ..
Very true about Joe Strummer. “ Punk, you lost that grubby feeling “. Lovers Rock (London Calling),
great line.
Sums up wannabe punk bands in the 80s

That’s not my point.
You said 1977 was a bad year for music and The Clash Janie Jones, summed up what a crap music year it was.
What other people think about music is up to them.
I’m just saying at that time, the late 70s were a pivotal point in how my generation felt about music.
I’m not disagreeing with you, you have your views and I have mine.

1977 was a turning point for music.
I respect you have your views but I have mine.
Elvis has nothing to do with the progrees music took then.
Music was depressing and didn’t say anything about life in the UK at the time.
Late 70s punk and early 80s new wave changed that.
Listening to a Supertramp tune or a Joy Division one said a lot more in my life.
One was some US band I couldn’t relate too , the other said it all

If anyone is the nob then, it’s you.
Give it a rest, it’s not funny and just childish.
You write like “I Would” completely obsessive with someone you don’t know.

No in Denmark we have V6 chewing gum.
Recommend by dentists as an alternative to not cleaning your teeth.

Thought he had his best moments on the pitch yesterday.
He’s had a rough time with injuries since being here.
I thought yesterday he showed the player we signed originally.
It’s been a long time coming but just maybe he’s the key to our continual rise up the league

Scoring 5 in one half against Charlton and now coming from 3 down.
Saints just don’t do that, not during the time I’ve supported them anyway.
No matter if we get to the playoffs or not, we’ve had some memorable results.
Especially after the misery of last season.
Was a bit nervous when Perez came out to try and stop their 2nd goal. Thought he might bring him down and get sent off

First gig

Respect Kernow… I would loved to of seen Thin Lizzy and absolutely Bob Marley and the wailers.
I guess going to concerts is like (or can be) a time capsule.
For me seeing The Jam, The Clash and The Stranglers changed my outlook on life at the time.
Late 70s early 80s was a depressing time in the UK.
Music and football was my only escape from reality.
Agree about small venues. Amager Bio in Cph is like that.I saw Midnight Oil a few years ago.
Think there was probably between 2/3 hundred people there

No you’re right, it was always “ a concert “. I was just replying to the title of the post.
There used to be a shop next to the Gaumont called Bondage in General (I think).
Apart from the obvious they had records and cool band t shirts for sale. They also sold tickets for “concerts “ at the Gaumont. I remember in the mid eighties buying a U2 t shirt and tickets for Simple Minds.

Life of a 3rd choice goalkeeper
at 09:10 8 Feb 2026

What a bizarre and easy way to make a living.
You train with the first team and have a kick about. Then you and the 2 first choice keepers together with an up and coming U21 keeper practice shot stopping, crosses etc…
So basically the club are paying for your fitness. How nice is that.
Suddenly the No 1 goalie gets injured. No 2 comes in and maybe you’ll be on the bench.
It doesn’t last long though as they sign an emergency 40 year old who has experience in the league.
So you’re back getting paid for keeping yourself fit. I don’t have a clue how much they get paid but I guess around 5 to 10 grand a week depending on who you’re “playing” for
In another life I’d like to be a 3rd choice goalkeeper 😬

So what do we think about Peretz?
at 08:34 8 Feb 2026

I agree. He just needs to kick it as far as he can, when he gets a back pass.
He made a complete bullsup at the start of the game, they should have scored.
He’ll learn. Definitely an upgrade on Baz and Mcer

My uncle took me to my very first gig, I was roughly the same age.
It was Joan Armatrading at the Gaumont Theatre (I think it was called)
About a year later I regularly went with my brothers up to London and my first “proper” gig was The Damned. Saw The Clash and Stiff Little Fingers soon after. We used to get the paper train back to Andover. Going on the tube back to Waterloo was a bit scary for a 14 year old.
Definitely “Down in the tube station at midnight”….
