Exactly. Even if a miracle does happen and a sale goes through, what hope is there of the EFL allowing us to stay in the league? None now, it's too late.
The fact that they've laid out the plans for the league without us now tells you all you need to know.
Can you imagine a phoenix club? Seriously? It wouldn't get off the ground. Too many fractions.

Hmmmm, good 'un.
I don't want to and won't go through this again so it's a no to Smurthwaite, but also I haven't got the energy for a phoenix. That's not Bury is it?
I don't know what I want any more. All I know is that this has rumbled on since before we were promoted - we never really got to enjoy that promotion beyond the Tuesday night in Tranmere (arguments about whether we deserved to enjoy it aside) and I'm completely sick and tired of it all now.

Thank you James.
That Kenny story is heartbreaking and that story of the guy whose brother's ashes are buried at the MRE too and then that casket being carried across the car park brings us crashing back down to earth.

We haven't got any money for counselling mate, we're piling all our money into the new consortium headed up by Stones Bakers and the Swan & Cemetery.
It's all gone very strange, wouldn't look amiss on A League of Gentlemen. Anyway, Tipping Point at 4:00 so hopefully Joy has started rummaging for the key.
Lovely woman, but I'm not sure what she hopes to achieve with this Swampy type protest.

Sorry I don't know how to reply without quoting somebody.
We've gone into fell meltdown over the last couple of days. Some behaviour I can excuse or try and justify, other behaviour I can't. We're now at the stage where I genuinely can't.
I generally have no idea what's going on anymore.
A casket has also arrived, as ordered by Joy.
I do hope Netflix are lurking.

Fantastic post.
Ivan Lewis is clueless - jumping on it for a bit of notoriety. Begging United and City for money to bail us out is just embarrassing. As if this whole ordeal hasn't been embarrassing enough.

I wouldn’t call the Fenton to Day transition a reprieve as such, but point taken on the other two.

I’m not saying things were hunky dory under Fenton but debts probably weren’t a great deal worse than many at our level - hence, in fact, why Day saw the opportunity to come in and do what he did.

Some good points in here.
I’d completely forgotten about BL9 Weekender (not burying my head in the sand or blissful ignorance, just so much has gone on). Were people who paid for a ticket not refunded then? How did that work, can you remember? Was it a separate company or ran by one of Days?
Ditto the parking scheme/scam - how come these people aren’t creditors in the CVA?

Somebody who has been involved in professional football before? Just a guess - I don't know either way. I'm interested to know, however, if the fit and proper test carries forth or you have to retake? Looking at the farting around Bolton have done (and remember, they're months ahead of us), one would assume there must be some kind of plan/structure in place or it really is a gamble.
There's a twist in this tale yet.

It's a bit ill-thought out isn't it?

"Football is back! (unless you're a Bury fan, in which case here's a gentle reminder of what you used to have)".

Ah well.

Interested to see what happens in the next few days - whether it's a consortium spearheaded by Dunphy or something entirely different, it sounds like something is happening.

Couldn’t agree more with this. The only fans that seem to be slagging off the EFL are us and Bolton. It’s not their fault, it’s ours.
