Yes, all our Christmas presents have come at once. We haven't been promoted or got a place in the playoffs but this news massively eclipses any of that, it is seismic news and will affect the Dale supporters of today and those of future generations. |

The simple answer is ; Jim has got to go, then rebuild with a new manager with an entertaining, positive ethos. |

The manager is by far the most important person on the books. We haven't got this position sorted at the moment and it needs sorting in the next few weeks. |

I liked the attacking intent of Woking when they visited us recently. In the last few weeks Woking have beaten Gateshead, Altrincham, Barnet and drew with Southend. So Michael Doyle it is then. |

Jim is set in his ways . He's not going to change. We have the players to compete with a very good Gateshead side, but as expected, we didn't really lay a glove on them. That is largely down to the leadership of McNulty. He has to go. Let another manager have a good pre-season to install some exciting football which will get our crowd numbers up. |

I had the massive privilege of spreading some of Owen Elbourne's ashes at the tree for life up at Watergrove Res. What a great guy!! |

Hopefully a fairytale ending to the protracted ownership hot potatoe saga. ...and the Dale fans lived happily ever after !!! |

We were lucky not to concede with all the passing about at the back. Same old, same old... Jim persists with his slow, slow, unexciting football. If he thinks that performance is good enough, then think again. Time for Jim to go I'm afraid. |

I think we need 4 points at the most to get to safety, which should be easily achievable given we have 8 games left to play. This is a golden opportunity for Jim to show us that he can change his spots and get his team playing exciting football and win the fan base over again. It's in his hands and I really hope he does it. He's a great fella and a Dale fan full of passion wanting us to win...just bloody change the tactics or else you will be sacked. Losing valuable supporters is very much Jim's fault in my opinion and he needs to put that right. |

YES, clear out the unwanted....Jim has to go !!! Most of the above comments explain why. Until now I was a big fan of Jim but I can't take any more. The problem is we can't afford to sack him and we probably need about 4 more points for safety. Like managers before him he seems incapable of changing his tactics and that is by far the greatest obstacle in our way. The team are good enough, apart from Jesu, so it comes down to our leader, who has demonstrated too many times he is not up to the job. Messing about at the back cost us a goal for the THIRD game in a row!!! Woking get a free kick well into their own half. They send all their big men forward and attack us. They did this quite a few times; exciting to watch...for them. What would we have done? We all know the answer...pass it about at the back, then pass it about at the back...it gets monotonous and excruciatingly boring and unexciting. We create a set piece from a corner at the Sandy...the ball is passed back a few yards to Gordon. He crosses the ball...out of play!!!! Recently, I have seen Gordon cross the ball out of play more than once. He is incapable of crossing the ball so why involve him in this "set piece" ?? I could go on and on. |

Wise words providing us with a clear vision for the way forward. You are spot on saying Simon is seriously conflicted and shouldn't be making big decisions on our future. When Gary Lineker came to the Newcastle FA Cup game, he mentioned that his favourite subuteo team was Rochdale. Perhaps he could take over his team again...but leaving the fixed assets of the club well alone! |

You've given us too many consonants, can we have two vowels please. [Post edited 11 Dec 2023 14:24]

Darlington (49 votes), Crewe (48) and Hereford (48) survived as expected. But surprisingly, Rochdale pulled off the great escape, their 26 votes pipping Altrincham by just one. However, it had been discovered that two clubs did not vote, with many speculating that the missing representatives would have guaranteed Altrincham a place in the Football League. Luton Town chairman Denis Mortimer explained his absence. "We were delayed by traffic. I can't say who we would have voted for - that wouldn't be fair." At first, the identity of the other club involved was not revealed. But eventually, Grimsby Town were named as the guilty party. Legend has it that the Grimsby chairman stood in the wrong part of the Cafe Royale, and therefore did not cast his vote. Yet an Andy Mitten article in Four Four Two magazine (November 2004) contained an allegation from Altrincham midfielder Graham Heathcote that the man involved had enjoyed one too many beverages and fallen alseep. |

Who has proved it ????? It's a debate and I am logging the occurrences. I may have missed some other examples, but at least I am trying to shine a light on a possible problem that may be looked at in training. [Post edited 11 Nov 2023 17:16]

I spoke to Ian recently regarding his offsides...he just looked at me and grinned, you could tell he wanted to say so much but didn't know where to start, and in the end he said nothing. I bet one of his thoughts was, what do you know? Like many I have seen nearly every home game he has played, only holidays have stopped my COA visits, and I have seen him play away at many grounds. Just hold your run for one more second and on the balance of probability you will score more goals was my comment. Talking to fellow supporters many disagree with me and say Ian should carry on doing what he does... I went to the first away game of the season at Oxford City...I know Hendo got the winner by walking the ball into the net but earlier in the game...well, you tell me what happened ? Ian, you're a great player but in my view you could be even greater !!!!!!! [Post edited 10 Sep 2023 19:36]
