Cierran Slicker-- yes I know that I dont think he actually played a game for us,but I bet he joined in training-has joined Barnsley on loan from Ipawich.

Just watching the Argentinian celebrations and thinking how good the Dale home shirt might look with a steal on the Argentine training shirts. Obviously with a darker blue than they have.

Would be a bit of a concern to me if we find that the team we field against FCUM consists mainly of Trialists when I thought there was some fantastic system being used to identify the sort of player that we need to succeed in Div 2

World Cup anyone?
at 19:31 5 Jul 2026

Not the best last night, not helped by a very poor Referee, How 3 French players were booked and not one from Paraguay beggared belief. He should have booked at least four whilst all the messing around waiting for the penalty.
Whilst looking at some historic "rough houses" an English Cup Final replay at Old Trafford that I was fortunate enough to go to between Leeds and Chelsea in 1971 would still take some beating.

Henderson, Smith and Edwards

I feel it unlikely that Hendo will sign a new contract and will call it a day.A change of management and a step up to the EFL is possibly one step too many at his age when he has plenty going for him outside of football.
Edwards may well as he is entitled put his toe in the water to see if there is anything more attractive to him. My thoughts to him (for what they are worth) might be that he is not the first to think he is better than being at Rochdale and it doesn't always end as the player has envisaged

Got to agree ,very disappointing and very bland, could be any teams shirt.
Fortunately at my advanced age wouldn't be buying one anyway.
Much prefer a striped theme and the black as all but disappeared.

I wouln't say it was depressing being in the NL, more of a feeling of being isolated from all we had known when in the FL which resulted in a feeling of being on the outside looking in.

No it looks like you might need maths Lessons from TVOS1907.
Not much better but looks like 12 runs for 5 wickets

See were you are coming from but still feel that the coaches had a fair amount of input.
From your reasoning I assume that you would give all the credit to turning United around to Carrick and none to Steve Holland ?

Know all about the former player coming back to haunt you but 5 goals in 55 games is hardly prolific

Very much my thoughts with regard to Taylor and Done. Obviously it is something we will never know as to whether the vital cog in the team came from the Coaches or the Manager but my view would be inclined towards the Coaching staff,
Just a big thank you for all their efforts and I wish them well in their future careers

Definately with you on that one.
Remember when I was playing football at a high level ,often there would be a drink after the game.
Well OK it was a high level for me as a bang average footballer----Lancashire Amateur League

New Manager speculation

Probably he has been appointed on the strength of several years coaching at EFL level.
Certainly more experience of EFL than some of the apparent candidates for the job at Dale, but only time will tell which plan worked the best
