On a much lighter note in view of all that appears to be evolving around our beloved club today, was a little surprised to hear Smith use an expression which to my understanding is very much a "Rochdale local expression" when he described an injury suffered by the Wolves fullback was a result of him having "Cruckled over". Did wonder how many people watching knew what he was talking about |

Just a thought on having seen that a minutes silence/applause was observed at the Spurs game last night following Rossi's untimely passing, as to whether without going into the whys and wherefores similar respect is shown in other countries to the passing of our most outstanding players as with the recent passing of Jackie Charlton and more recently Nobby Stiles who were both World Cup winners.

Interesting that 2 managers on the list have managed Dale and in my opinion were perhaps 2 of the worst that I can remember in near 70 years of following the Dale.

Agreed that in no way could we be considered to have started the season well,but to perhaps take a step back in so far as the teams who we have lost too are five of the teams in the top seven who have played a total of 49 games and have lost just 5 of these games which means that it isn't only us that have struggled against them.
The hope is that when our fixtures are hopefully a little bit kinder that we can improve on our start to the season.The teams we have beaten are teams who are around us in the league but who may not have had the testing fixtures that have been our lot at the start of the season |

Whilst it is obvious that defensively we are struggling,of the teams we have played who are at the top of the League they have collectively played 28 games and have only been beaten once.To me that would suggest that our team is not the only one to have had difficulties playing them. |
