Ramblings of a newly exiled Daley
at 22:48:48

On the bright side, you no longer, like me live in Rochdale.
Just had a letter from my mate who is still there, which included this...

"No Carlton (knocked down)
No Yates Wine Lodge ( Now a Club for Parties?)
No Woolworths (Now a "Pound Shop")
No Littlewoods (That's been closed years now)(Still Empty)
No indoor market ( now only eight working shops in it, and the council
is going to raise their rents again)
No Co-op (That's been sold on, now selling tat)
No McDonalds (they said it wasn't a viable propersition)(Still empty)
Marks and Spencers Say they are thinking of moving out.

Now what are we having a Tram For ?????????????"

It is now getting embarrassing to say to fellow "poms", I am from Rochdale.

Eyre Force One
at 01:35:59

Look at it this way. If Steve Eyre brings in a few academy players from City, and just one of them shines on the pitch, and is sold on for around half a million, he will have done his job. We remain a selling club with low attendances. Hopefully while that player is shining in our team, we will be continuing to win games and stay near the top of League 1. Fingers crossed, he may develop several stars. Hopefully he will not be like the aforementioned Dowie and Robins, who have failures on their CV's. I was hoping we got Pemberton, but still happy with this appointment, especially as it seems there is no compensation payout involved .
Good work Mr Dunphy IMHO

Thanks for this report. Better than anything else I can get over here. When combined with the threads on the forum I can get a feel for whats gone on.
I am sure the other exiles feel the same.
