Something a lot of us have wanted for years. You can take any of the front three out and replace them with quality. We haven’t often had that. |

I’m not too bothered, if I was that type of player, I wouldn’t want to be here either because I wouldn’t play much. Gut feeling is if he doesn’t go to LAFC, he’ll go somewhere else. |

Yes it is and Matos manages rotation very well. Eusatquio is probably the only player we can’t cover. We’ve got players who can play in his position, but no one who can do what he does. We’ve got at least two quality players who can slot in for each other everywhere else. Even then, we’ve won the two games he’s missed, albeit with less fluid performances. 2.3 points per game is definitely not sustainable over a season. That’s PSG and Bayern numbers and they don’t have serious competition. Yes I agree, we’ll know where we are after we’ve played the top teams. I’ll start considering us automatic contenders if we win tomorrow though. |

On top of that, we don’t play with a 10. We can’t afford to with the wingers so high up, we need three central midfielders. I do think we should have a player like that on the bench to change games, but that player would need to accept he isn’t going to start many games and quite often won’t feature at all. If they’ve had that chat and Walta wants more minutes, I can totally respect it. Plenty of teams will need a player like him starting. |

Not in any way a false position, but it’s not one we would have expected ourselves, so you can see how fans of other clubs who are quite often biased and don’t watch much of us would think that. As others have said, we will inevitably have a bad patch at some stage, but we 100% deserve to be where we are right now. |

Listening to the excellent Only Swans podcast around deadline day, they were talking about big bids bids for Vipotnik and made the very fair point that Vipotnik, Idah and Stewart was probably too much, while if he had gone, Idah and Stewart wouldn’t be enough, especially given Stewarts injury record. Matos has surely got one of the best strike forces in the championship, but it must be tough for him to keep them all happy. |

Completely agree with you. It’s already started though. There’s always one who catches a few strays regardless of how well we’re doing. |

People urged patience for those two and they’ve been proven right. I’m not sure why Just isn’t being afforded the same courtesy. With Burgess injured and Ronald thriving as an impact sub, he’s in danger of becoming this season’s scapegoat. |

I think we’ll probably mix in a bit more direct football against the footballing sides. We already do it at home. Cabango played a few diagonals to Opoku on the weekend. Very little point doing that at Milwall as they will win most aerial challenges but have a big lumbering thug up front who isn’t that hard to manoeuvre around. I don’t think we’ll risk playing triangles around strikers so often against West Ham. |

He just off the pace. Slow to react. All of those players suffered with that initially. They all had to and did improve physically as well. On the ball he looks fine to me. Can’t really compare him to Tymon or Vipotnik, but he looks a lot better than Eom or Widdell did in their first few months. Difference is we have much more competition in midfield than we did when they arrived, or at any point in the Championship. |

I think Just is getting a bit of unfair flak due to the strength of the squad and the fact the other new arrivals have hit the ground running. Look how long Vipotnik, Eom and Widdell took to settle, all are massive players now. Even Tymon was nowhere near the best full back in the league in his first 10 games. The dilemma with Just is whether you give an obviously talented player time to acclimatise, or just go with players who are better right now. It’s a luxury we didn’t have with the others. |

Whatever we’re paying Jamestown, it isn’t enough. Our recruitment this season has been sublime. |

This is a theme. When we’re under the cosh, which we are quite often against teams like Milwall and Lincoln, we don’t really concede big chances. On the odd occasion we do, Vigaroux steps right up or our defenders throw themselves in the way. It was Lissah and Stewart last night, Cabango has done it a few times this season. We’re getting credit for the football we play, but our defensive organisation is flying under the radar |

Of the three yes, and I’d probably add Stamenic to that. We just don’t have anyone to step in for Eustacquio and play the same way. Fulton and Franco can both play the deep role if you want them to shield the centre backs and break up attacks. Franco is more dynamic, Fulton is much more positionally disciplined, both can do that well. You wouldn’t want either playing the ‘quarterback’ role that is key to how Matos wants us to play. |

This is the under rated side of our game that the TikTok experts never seem to mention. We’re not always on top, but when we aren’t, we’re conceding possession and territory, but rarely conceding big chances. We control those periods very well. |

Re. selection and rotation, I did think we missed Eustacquio in terms of fluency. Fulton had a very good game playing to his strengths and he certainly snuffed out Norwich attacks. I prefer him further forward though, he’s not the player to take it from centre backs in tight spaces and move it quickly through midfield. I don’t really know what the answer is there without Eustacquio because neither Franco nor Stamenic are suited to it. As an aside, I know we had players returning from the other side of the world, but I’m not sure I like Fulton, Franco and Widell as a starting midfield, I rate them all, but are all fairly similar. |

I don’t think those 10 minute spells are sustainable over 90, just because they are so intense. We are going to need to do that for short spells, then manage the game for a bit before going again. I do agree though, someone is taking a hammering soon. We are pretty good at limiting the opposition when we aren’t going full tilt. If we could get three or four spells like that in each game, we would blow teams away. |

We were a little bit off our rythm, as I’m sure Norwich were. Disagree with those saying they were the better team in the first half, we weren’t quite clicking, but I thought they offered very little until the goal, which was a sloppy mistake more than them creating anything. Massive cliche, but picking up points when you aren’t at your best is a sign of a great team |
