That one goal on Wednesday was about the only useful contribution he’s made all season yet Julien insists on playing him for ninety minutes every single game.
Booing one of our own players at the ground for their poor performance is counter productive but if we’re not allowed to comment on the message board if we see every week that someone isn’t performing up to standard then what do you suggest? Say everyone is wonderful all the time when they obviously aren’t? |

Careful, there will be people on here saying you’re trying to turn him into a “boo-boy” before long.
The fact is that apart from that goal he scored on Wednesday he’s been almost completely useless this season and I’m baffled as to why JS insists on playing him for ninety minutes every single game. [Post edited 17 Oct 17:17]

I was really enjoying watching Madsen’s surging runs into the opposition half during the second-half yesterday, which unfortunately came to an end when we went down to ten men.
It was an aspect of his game which he has never really revealed before and I guess having the solidity of Kamara alongside and behind him enables him to play with more freedom. Having him carrying the ball forward into dangerous areas like this would be a real plus for us if he can keep doing it. |

The problem is that there is no other English striker who is remotely in the same class as Kane. Given Gordon’s eye for goal we may well be better off using him as the striker when Kane finally has to call it a day. |

The first series of the German series “The Marnow Murders” on Channel Four’s Walter Presents was excellent and the second is looking very promising as well. |

Yet Hull, who finished way behind Coventry and who even QPR beat twice last season, are already on eight points so it’s hard to make sense of it. |

Thanks Kerry. It says no trains from Liverpool St to White City and severe delays on the rest of the line. Just trying to get an idea of how severe they are. |

Was heading to West Ruislip to get the train in soon.
Anyone any idea how bad the delays are there? |

I just feel we need to be more competitive in midfield this year and stop them imposing their style of play on us the way they did last year, when they absolutely ran rings round us.
Hopefully Julien will have learned from that experience and will set the team up better to counteract their style of play. |

If somebody had scored a goal like that in the recent World Cup, they’d have been acclaiming it as the greatest ever scored. |

Just waiting for him to ingratiate himself with the fans by saying “I’ve always been a Liverpool supporter.” |

That appears to be about the strongest possible team that Australia could have put out as well, with Cummins, Starc and Hazlewood all playing. |

People seem to be assuming that Madsen’s actually going to be fit and available for this one which I don’t believe to be the case. I think we’re likely to have to start with a centre midfield of Varane and either Morgan or Alamayehu unless Chair or Vale are dropped back. |

I’m well aware that it’s foolish to place too much reliance on a highlights reel when judging a new player but that one makes him look like the second coming of Adel Taarabt! |
