Just glad this long saga is finally over. Never known a situation like it and it can’t have been good for the lad.

Some people on this thread seem genuinely gutted that we won and can’t bring themselves to give the team/manager any credit whatsoever. Just enjoy it and try being positive for once.

Lots of us said the same about Sweetmore and were shouted down and ridiculed by his fanboys. A “massive Rochdale fan” apparently. Anyone seen him at a game since he went?

There are others too who’ve appeared from nowhere and now think they’re the bees knees and can tell long time supporters what they should be saying or thinking. Doesn’t wash with me I’m afraid.

I’m never normally one to criticise but that was awful. Bizarre tactical setup as already mentioned by others and Crawley clearly worked out at half time that they just had to go down our left as much as possible. Wilson is far too laid back and that played a big part in the (definite - despite the protests) penalty he gave away. He was lucky just before that with that stupid dink over the attacker that nearly gave the ball away. Brown was an our best player by a country mile I thought and I felt sorry for him. Sherring was a liability and was blowing out of his arse after an hour.

For me there seems to be an unnecessary amount of negativity from supporters (a bit on here but mainly other social media) that I don’t think is deserved after the season the bulk of these players gave us last time out. I’m all for realism (I’m a Dale fan after all) but most of them proved they were too good for the National League by racking up over 100 points so why can’t the majority make the step up?

And for the element of the fanbase who won’t give any manager who isn’t “Hilly” the time of day - get over it, he’s not coming back.

Anyway - 10th for me.
