That defence splitting pass down the middle was sadly lacking yesterday. Without doubt, credit goes to WHU for shoring up any gaps but I canāt help thinking we made it easier for them by our slow laborious build-up play. |

Absolutely. Iām not sure anyone has done except this thread talks about both incidents.
I donāt find the England isā¦ chant offensive but I donāt like it because itās rather puerile and cringeworthy. It is just football chanting at the end of the day. The same needs to be understood about the other chant which is sadly taken as a direct personal insult by some. Itās certainly not. |

Yes, itās a word Iāve used several times on here which we lacked yesterday - composure. Lack of that stems from hurrying things as we werenāt confident enough to think things through. Itās things like this we must learn from. Look at it again in group feedback, see where you should have composed yourself and learn. |

On SwansTV comms, Andy Robinson said he could feel an equaliser coming on. I couldnāt, we just werenāt getting into good enough positions and when we did, Ronald at the death, we wasted the chance. He should have gone for it himself but I reckon the way things had gone it would have been saved, gone over or gone wide. As you say, just wasnāt to be. |

What on earth is he doing? Heās helping one of the nations who are a threat to world peace and security in the name of what? Is this what MAGA support? Will the mid terms react positively or negatively? Will he declare a fraudulent voting system if the latter?

A great synopsis Richard highlighting what most of us are thinking, that we are spending too much time slowing the game down in our own half and not counter attacking quickly enough. This is why we canāt flood the box because opposition defences, especially one as technically adept as West Hamās can organise themselves at will. Spot on about Yeo as well. There needs to be more work done to ensure when he goes on his run that support not only for the first pass but subsequent passes are there to pull defences apart.
Iām disappointed at yesterdayās result as well could have got a point at least but our profligacy in front of goal has cost us. Itās down to lack of composure in my opinion (in training theyād be burying them) but it wasnāt just yesterday. Other games have seen us make similar mistakes preventing a high scoring win. Goal difference is going to be important this year and I donāt believe we are scoring as much as we could / should.
I think Matos has a big week ahead of him. If we as supporters are all seeing much the same thing he needs to be aware also. We have another very tough game ahead of us next week and hopefully they will take some confidence from yesterday and learn from their errors and take it to QPR. |

Thatās a fair assessment John. But although they closed the angles I still feel we were too slow and measured getting forward. That is our style I know but it would be nice to see us catch teams off guard by going forward quicker. I look at other games in the league and they always seem faster than ours but not of course as technical. |

This is a game where most if all we lacked composure. Snatching at things and that last minute decision by Ronald, who otherwise had a great game was puzzling to say the least.
Also, I think we need to work on a way of getting the ball into the box quicker. Towards the end we were neatly passing it around on the touchline and patiently trying to move the ball forward but there wasnāt time for that. Something to recognise and something to put right hopefully.
That was a point dropped there today, we were good for the draw but lack of conviction and the composure I mentioned means we lost all 3.
Iām disappointed but a week to rest and go again.
Finally, the ref made a couple of glaring errors, the red card (or not) decision and the foul on Opoku ? down the right which the linesman had a great view of. Maybe the rules have changed without me knowing! |

I thought Cardiff played quite well to be fair. They are supposed to be suspect defensively but they kept them out when under severe pressure. I just hope I donāt have to want them to get something out of too many games this season as itās asking too much of meš |
