If the news was pretty bad for Rotherham, then it might be even worse for Bournemouth, as the Football League didn't even make them an offer.

The Football League declared that they weren't satisfied with the proposals that Bournemouth put in front of them. The proposals are usually there to show that the people taking over the club have sufficient funds to ensure that the club will survive the season.

Having rejected these proposals, the Football League will be meeting again on Thursday where they will be expecting the prospective new owners to come back with further information about the "viability of the new company's proposals", and until that is done, no decision could be made. 

Reaction in Bournemouth has been largely negative, as fans are worried about whether they'll actually be able to take part in the Football League.
