![]() Thursday, 7th Aug 2008 09:03 All you need to know about Ninian Park This is the last season at Ninian Park as Cardiff are due to move to a new stadium virtually next to Ninian Park which they will share with the Rugby club. Cardiff has a somewhat dodgy reputation for its welcome for away supporters, so caution is advised. For those travelling by car there is plenty of parking opposite the away entrance near the new stadium and also the athletics stadium on the far side of the new developement. The main train station is a fair hike from the ground, although you can get a local train from cardiff central that stops at Ninian Park Halt next to the stadium. For those who enjoy a pre match pint, the pubs around the ground are pretty much home fans only and the wearing of coulours is not advised, however some will let away supporters in if they are discreet, but they can be quite intimidating, our advice is to use some of the pubs in the City Centre which dont tend to attract a football crowd so much. The away end at Cardiff has to be the strangest in the division, like many it occupies a corner of the terrace behind the goal, but is then divided in two with the front part being seats and the back part terrracing, although seat tickets and terrace tickets are seperate and indeed a seat ticket is £2 more, we have found in reality once you are in the ground its pretty much go where you like.
