Calling all Swansea City fans in Scotland ! Tannadice Ticket News
Wednesday, 30th Nov 2022 08:00 by Swansea Independent

Dundee United will take on Swansea City on Saturday ( Dec 3rd ) at Tannadice in a hastily arranged friendly. That date was originally set aside for the swans to take on Glasgow Rangers, as it stands it’s still unknown if that game will go ahead before the side return to west Wales next week.

The squad minus, Joe Allen, Ben Cabango, Ollie Cooper and Olivier Ntcham, all of whom are on World Cup duty put in a determined performance to beat Hearts early yesterday afternoon. Michael Obafemi and Harry Darling didn’t take any part in yesterdays game but will be included come Saturday.

Goldie Looking …
The game has been smoothly arranged as new Swansea academy manager joined the swans in August from Dundee United. Speaking on his new role Goldie knows full well the expectations on him at Swansea. “The purpose is very obvious, you look at the success of the Welsh national team, the number of academy graduates we have in that squad. It adds a bit of pressure but, if anything, we want to build on that. We’ll work closely with the FAW to maintain that success. You can see there’s real ambition amongst the staff to produce even better-quality players than what we’ve produced in the past. I think when you’ve got a manager like Russell Martin, who plays in the style that aligns with what I believe in, that can be a really powerful thing.”

Andy Goldie was the academy spearhead at Tannadice
