Macaulay Langstaff being chased by Swansea City ?
Wednesday, 30th Nov 2022 17:31 by Swansea Independent

Notts County strike Macaulay Langstaff is a target for the swans after it was leaked that Russell Martin is a big admirer of the twenty five year old latecomer to the non league system. Last season Langstaff scored thirty two goals and had nine assists for Gateshead in the national league north before moving to the magpies in the national league in the summer.

Football insider are currently claiming the news on this players link with the swans.

Hailing from Stockton-on-Tees, Langstaff impressed in the amateur game and earned opportunities with Billingham Synthonia, Blyth Spartans and York City before really making his mark at Gateshead last season. This season he has bagged nineteen goals in twenty games for County. Fans at Meadow Lane sing a song referencing him as the non league Haaland, and he just can’t stop scoring.
That’s fifty one goals in a season and a half.

We have been told that the swans are none too happy with the news getting out as many clubs seem to ride on the coattails of Swansea’s hard work off the pitch identifying players. We would say they are more unhappy with the news leaking as opposed to who the player is. This news will most certainly drive the players price up and we have been told County will want in excess of £650,000 for the player. Unless it’s a necessary move the swans won’t gamble that on Langstaff.

As the transfer window creeps closer these types of stories will leak out, and maybe the actual origins aren’t as first thought, remember what we know about agents ? They do get busy handling their players at this time of year for sure.

Will Martin be allowed to bring another player he likes the look of, or will we get a decent player
