Rochdale have completed the signing of Bryant Bilongo from Bristol Rovers.

The 24-year-old left-back came through AFC Wimbledon’s academy before making his name in non-league with Hanworth Villa and Kingstonian, earning a move to Middlesbrough in 2022. Loan spells at Woking and Ebbsfleet United helped his development before he joined Bristol Rovers last summer.

Bilongo made an immediate impact at Rovers, memorably scoring a stoppage-time winner on his League One debut against Northampton Town but has found opportunities very limited this season.

He joins on an 18-month deal.
