The New POTUS? 23:52 - Oct 22 with 9235 views | Sadoldgit | So.....not long to go until we either get either a new or same old POTUS. Maybe it is the pessimist in me but I have a horrible feeling that the Orange Narcissist (no, I’m not a fan) is going to get another 4 years. What do you all think!

Come on Jay don't be acting like a remainer who refused to accept the decision and took years to get over it . Trump could follow their game plan , it was not a legal vote , go to court to reverse it , didn't know all the facts , spent more money etc....

I dont really care. I just find it amusing how people get worked up about who the president will be. Like you, sadoldgit, suggesting that we need to pray to god etc. What does it matter to us plebs? All the fuss about trump/biden and nothing when its macron or merkel..

It is a figure of speech, but I am sure you know that. Trump isn't just a problem for Americans, he is a problem for the whole planet.

Errr, because he's clearly not right in the head and he's in charge of US diplomatic policy and some pretty serious weapons. I wouldn't trust him with a box of fireworks.

You honestly think that you can compare them? Biden is old and has a few 'moments'. Trump is incorrigibly deranged.

You clearly have no idea who the country operates, other than what you see on the BBC. They care deeply about Guns, Money, God, Power and Freedom. or the belief all of that is in reach....

What's fascinating to me is the the split between town and countryside. Anywhere rural seems be firmly behind Trump whereas in the town's Biden is winning big. Best guess is that the simplistic, homogenous world view that Trump promotes can only make sense in the countryside. People in the cities are used to life being more varied and nuanced and are perhaps a bit more savvy in seeing though Trump's BS. More worrying still is that pretty sure Dorset would be prime Trump country! MDGA!

You belittle nearly 50% of voting Americans by that yet you do not question an organisation that wants Sharia law where you can't vote at all and have to abide by the words of an 8th century goat herder. Do you get why you get so much stick ?

If you ever get over there pop into the “nuanced” areas of Baltimore, Detroit, Chicago, St Louis etc and have a chat to the locals to ascertain their levels of variance and nuance.

You are referring to 'areas' within cities. I am talking about cities. But anyway what is your specific point? And how do you account for the town and country divide?
