John Barnes was interviewed on TalkSport this morning and didn’t think that this was down to fan power, more down to the big organisations and the government. Those in the studio thought it was a bit of both. Either way it was good to see so many people come together and call this plan for what it is. Pure greed and elitism. It was questioned whether the fans should continue this momentum and to call for more reforms in football in order to make it fairer for all. Doesn’t look like the big club supporters are interested in going that far. |  | | |

I don't think that John Barnes credited government as they would be toothless to intervene but he put it down to a business-led decision, which is exactly what it is.

It may have been someone else who mention government intervention, but Johnson certainly gave the impression that there were things they could do to stop it. | | | |
