Both he and Brandon Cooper have had long-term injuries now after getting tackled in the first half and playing on. Makes you wonder how bad it would have been if he'd come off when he first went down, or at half time. Players are conditioned to try to play on, and physios can be the same way (see all the head injuries where proper protocols are ignored so they can give the manager the thumbs up). He played on because Martin is the manager and he had no centre backs n the bench. There was not a lot at stake for Swansea in this game.
Does Bennett have a clause like Routlegde had? No excuse for Burns in the stand and Cotterill and Congreave on the bench. |  |
