This doesn't make sense to draw this transfer saga out.

Fraser did well for us when he first arrived, but towards the end of season, he had mixed performances.

I don't think Saints need to go over board on this one, just let Newcastle play hard ball. They will be back with a realistic offer as we get closer to the window closing. I also don't see Saints getting into a bidding war with other clubs for him. It will be good if he signs, but not the end of the world if he doesn't.

every week it goes on costs them thousands a week which they obviously can afford but given there ffp situation they could do without the extra cost so let them stew on it
