The good thing is, there is a lot of help and advice out there now. Where as years ago, there was very little. Our problem was we didn't know enough about Autism, and just thought we had a shy girl at school, as did all her teachers. Most people who see and interact with our daughter, wouldn't know. They become very adapt way masking. I saw the video of the Saints woman player and I could relate to everything she said. She definitely was not attention seeking and I thought she was very brave to tell her story. We still have a loving daughter (now an adult), they just show affection and appreciation in different ways. Even Christmas is different now. we don't do presents for each other, as this just stressed her out, but we do 'secret Santa', which was good fun and light hearted. We just embrace the situation now and hopefully a few us have helped some sceptics. [Post edited 4 Apr 19:07]

Some on here need to educate themselves about Autism and the Spectrum. My daughter was diagnosed at around 16. it is not Boll**ks and they try to live a normal life. She has a degree in Maths, a successful job and a circle of friends that today probably do not know about her condition. Many of these people get by in life, by what they call 'Masking'. They behave and respond how people think they should behave emotionally. In my daughters case, she is very structured and likes routine. Breaking a routine, can be stressful. e.g. simple things like changing date/time to visit her. Physical contact is also challenging. e.g. if friends or family just want to hug her. Even after many years we are still learning how to manage the relationship with our daughter. [Post edited 4 Apr 18:59]

 | Forum Reply | How Many English Football League Grounds Have You Been To at 09:31 1 Apr 2026
Blimey 1951, was not going to away games since 1980's part of a pre-nup you signed when you got married to your loved one ? Back to thread - I have only been to 32. This includes clubs who moved to new grounds (Man City, Colchester, Arsenal, West Ham, Spurs, Brighton). Worst - Layer Road, Colchester, West Ham (New), Southend and Dagenham Ground I was most pleasantly surprised - MK Dons. Would love to go to more since retiring, but so hard to get tickets. CZ you are fine. It's ok for people outside the area to support the Saints, but not acceptable for people who were born or live in the area to support other so called 'big' teams ! |

He probably cant do this on his own, and would have to go through Congress to pull out of NATO. Come the US mid term elections in November, the Democrats will be in control of Congress. I don't take very much what Trump says these days seriously. Only this week he was asking Europe for help, and then says it was just a test of their loyalty and US didn't need them. What is it ? |

Thierno Barry's mates will probably get tickets for the Northam ! |

Can't say I have any sympathy for them, especially if they celebrated in the away end. They knew they were in with away fans, and the tickets would have been clearly marked. I am not condoning what happened to them, but Barry needs to take some responsibility for this. We know this goes on with regular fans, and I have also been in away sections, e.g. Fulham, Dagenham and Norwich, but always behave accordingly and not draw attention to my self. |
 | Forum Reply | Coventry Game Matchday Thread at 14:39 14 Mar 2026
Great result, especially given Coventry home and recent form. It was an unnecessary cheap penalty to give away and put us under pressure in final minutes. Yes, there were some basic errors, but every player put a shift in. Flynn Downs was lucky to stay on and with VAR he may not have. However, they had a player that could have gone for an elbow. I'll sign off now and wait for Nick's report on Peretz's performance. He pulled off some top saves to keep us in the game. What a performance ! [Post edited 14 Mar 14:41]

I think Jones had most fans support until he opened his mouth, and did some bizarre interviews, especially after poor results. e.g. being best in Europe statistically and the then saying Wolves going down to 10 men helped Wolves win ? When Jones insisted he would no longer "compromise" over "certain principles, this was a clear sign he had lost the dressing room. His comments last year, saying Southampton FC was his only regret, didn't help. After the Charlton recent game against Stoke, where he told Stoke Fans to F*** off and having a run in with Shawcross, he will probably keep a low profile. |
 | Forum Reply | New Players : Dont knock him until he has had a go at 15:45 3 Feb 2026
I am not sure what is worse Nick, McCarthy getting beat at the near post or passing to opponents, Bazunu getting regularly beat from outside the box or across his body or Peretz not dealing with corners ? Bazunu and McCarthy have had many a chance to eradicate their flaws and still repeated them, so I am prepared to give Peretz a chance now. |

Follow up to Archer comments on here. I too have not been overwhelmed by him this season, but he is young and I am willing to give him a chance. I am hoping, now that we seem have got back to being more direct and moving the ball a bit quicker he will get some decent service and prove us all wrong. |

Sounds like Smithfields in the City (early AM opening for the Meat workers finishing overnight shift)? Those of a certain age that worked in London (Farringdon / Moorgate / Fleet Street ) may remember likes of the Fox Pub ? [Post edited 24 Jan 12:13]
