Southampton Right To Hold Steady In The January Transfer Window1st Feb 2022 09:58 Some Saints supporters may have been slightly disappointed with the lack of incoming transfers in the January transfer window, but on reflection the club were right to look for the right deal, rather than any deal to make it look like they mean business.14

We've got a squad full of decent mid-table pros and youngsters, who may one day be better than this but aren't currently, so no glaring need to add another player that we could actually afford. (i.e. a decent mid-table pro or youngster for the future).
A keeper would have been good but we can do this (times 2) in the Summer.
The only thing we could have done would be to do a short term deal to get a bit of quality in as Villa have done with Coutinho loan and Brentford with Eriksen 6 month deal. With our new Danish connections I thought we may have had a shout with getting the latter.
