Strangely, this appears not to have sold out.

Therefore thinking about going tomorrow night.

However, I really NEED to know whether my customer experience will have been enhanced.

Specifically:

1. Will we have stopped the Death March being played before the game?

2. Have we run out of cash for snazzy fireworks displays?

3. Will Kenzie Benali look better on the new jumbo TV screens?

4. Will we have moved the away fans?

If the answer to any of the above is “No”, the club will be getting a very frosty riposte from me in the Customer Experience survey.

Not sold out, they have hardly sold any tickets at all! And I'm not surprised. Just a big mass of away fans in the Northam.

I might have considered going, but not at £15 a ticket, and it's £20 on the day. Whilst Saints have got match tickets and season tickets pricing correct, the pricing for the friendlies is completely wrong (and the wrong opposition).

Tickets were on sale till July 11th at a price of £10 for adults and £5 for u18's, for season ticket holders and members who could all buy 4 tickets each, so with around 20,000 season ticket holders plus members you could surmise that they could have sold the ground out 3 times over.

The initial pricing was good, increasing it to £15 was the mistake and making it £20 on the day even worse.

Same for the AZ Alkmaar game I cant see many walk ups on the day for either

Looking at the ticketing, there are huge swathes of green dots everywhere, nobody is going. The message will be loud and clear.

"The initial pricing was good, increasing it to £15 was the mistake and making it £20 on the day even worse."

Exactly. It's a home game. Many many people decide to go on the day or a few days before. As you say people won't pay £20 for a friendly. They will end up with an empty stadium. They are playing a game of cat and mouse, trying their luck, hoping fans would pay extra for a "derby game". It's gone horribly wrong. Friendlies should be £10 for adults, £5 for kids or even £1 for kids. Saturday will be like a ghost town in the ground, with very few away fans too. If was £10 on the day, I would have gone.

Saints Supporters Boycott Bournemouth Friendly In Their Thousands 24th Jul 2023 09:53
There were a few eyebrows raised in the Southampton supporter base when it was announced that the first of the two pre season friendlies at St Mary's would be against AFC Bournemouth, now it is clear why. 9

In truth there are new people in the club and they are inexperienced and learning as they go along, sadly a lot of local people who had worked at the club a long time and could have given them a lot of good advice were made redundant after relegation, so we will have to blunder through

I just hope the players and our new manager understand the reason why the Saints fans are boycotting
