Julien Stephan continues to get his starting XI wrong, and didn’t use his strength of game changing subs until it was way too far gone. Keeper continues his downward trend and it looks like another 3 game week is going downhill.

The attack looked ok and some of their rating here look hard. But Cook and Esquerdinha both looked their age and Nardi cost us dearly.

With Esquerdinha a weak link on the left and Vale out of form on the right both wings were vulnerable and lacked pace. Burrell did his best chasing lost causes and pressing, Kone had a couple of half chances but had misplaced his scoring boots. Bringing on Frey doesn't fill you with hope.

Has this division improved in quality since last season. Last year we (or I) thought Frey and Nardi were upgrades but now they feel below par. And our central defence seems very weak. Morrison hasn't developed as we hoped, Cook often looks his age and Mbengue is Mbengue. One option is to move Jimmy back to CB. Although his form hasn't been great he does win headers.

MotM Burrell.

Wrong selection, slow to make subs. Old habits etc...

Nardi the defence and the Manager were just not good enough, the starting 11 had alarm bells ringing for me at 2.00pm when the team was announced. Hope we can improve but it looks like we dont know what we are doing out there when it comes to defending our goal. The opposition have worked out our weaknesses and are exploiting them at will.
