I thought Andy’s commentary & summarisation was very good again yesterday. Pointed out Rangers needed to make a solid start & not give Norwich any encouragement as they have been on such a poor run. Also that their right winger likes to check inside onto his left foot.
We all saw how that worked out…so if Andy Sinton knows this why doesn’t JS, coaching staff & passed onto players?
2nd half he called the Varane substitution just before it happened.
Having had to listen to some of the other club commentators, really makes me appreciate the excellent commentary Andy regularly provides with Tyler Morris.
Certainly been better recently & seems to be over the early season hamstring issues but still Needs to improve his decision making & final ball IMO.
Very skilful on the ball but can appear a bit selfish at times, shooting when other players are in better positions & still doesn’t track back enough for me.
Yes that is a real shame… the DS Squad he managed won the cup last season, what more could he have done? He understands (or understood) the club, delivered tangible success & also popular with fans. Very disappointing..
Nardi is a professional so should be able to deal with being dropped & then getting an unexpected opportunity. Although he hasn’t been treated particularly well by the club should be motivated enough to play well enough to prove the manager wrong & attract other clubs for a potential transfer away.
He’s a generally a good shot reflex shot stopper (as at Derby) but hasn’t improved fundamental weaknesses at crosses & set plays. More Nervousness & uncertainty spreading through the defence.
Need to go & get an experienced replacement in the January window even if it’s a loan.
Agree Varane wasn’t great today, poor decision making, caught in possession in our own half & made lots of wayward passes. Would’ve changed him earlier & give him a break
Disappointing to lose to an ordinary (but organised)team...
Nardi isn’t perfect (stuck to his line) but he has more experience & is a safer bet than Walsh. Unfortunately Walsh has been on the end of a few hammerings that aren’t entirely his fault but can’t help his confidence. Thoroughly embarrassed today along with the rest of the team & really struggling with playing out from the back instructions. When re-building a team why take such a chance on a new inexperienced ‘keeper… unless it is for financial reasons?
Nardi certainly wasn’t high up on my list of issues from last season
