York are flying right now, we really could with winning the two games in hand and giving ourselves a decent cushion between us and them.
Good win and a controlled display today, the keeper had a really reassuring display despite his late addition to the squad. |

The 'Tinpot Trophy' game on Tuesday should have been moved to a different venue. With no dome in place I'm not optimistic about next Saturday's game going ahead looking at the week's weather forecast. |

There's a decent time frame in there to try and do something about this massive problem that we have with the pitch, I'm pretty sure that The Ogdens and powers that be at the club will be trying to put some kind of plan together to get us through the season.
I'd even consider pulling out of the 'Tinpot Cup', the photo on the O/S showing the puddle was the area of the pitch that gradually got worse during the downpour at Man Utd game last week. |

There was definitely damage done in the Willbutts/Sandy corner last Tuesday in that Tinpot Trophy game and that is a part of the pitch that gets sun and hasn't been a problem in the past. It seems that all we can do is pray for a dry and mild winter 🙏. |

I'd take defeat today and 4 points off York in the league.
York are the best team that we've played so far and will be there or there abouts in May, we have a extra weekend of rest now don't we at the start of November?

Yeah so let's just keep on rolling on the three points.
It's a bitch of a league to get out of so like I keep on saying 100 points has to be the target however and whoever we beat to take those points from.
We got off to a pretty poor start in the 16/17 season but somehow nearly crashed the League1 playoffs that season, it'd be ridiculous to compare this season's start with that season's start. [Post edited 4 Oct 20:48]

Ok, the quality isn't as great in this league as say League2 in let's say 07/08 right?
So to compare to previous seasons other 23/24 and 24/25 is ridiculous.

The comparisons to our previous starts to season other than the last two seasons are irrelevant due to us playing in a league with part time teams in now so please stop.
However that was so comfortable today, Jim is learning from his mistakes and that'll do for me.
Starting without our A-Team on Wednesday cost us but Jim has sort of been proved correct by today's result and performance.
A week off and a tough fixture in the FA Cup, I'd go for it with a strong starting XI as the FA Cup is still a valuable competition to us supporters and financially to the club. I'm right in thinking that we have no midweek fixture in the league after the York game? |
