I did the same in the early 90s late 80s some of my mates were out there when the war was on...nutters...I was there a year before that derby game in 2000 a few months after being promoted. Was sat in a bar in Split and noticed we were playing Reading away the next day, in the English paper I bought - been out there and elsewhere nearly a month and were due to go home soon anyway but I bet my mate I could make the game consulting my Thompson's European Rail Timetables Book.... An hour later I was on the train to Ljubljana - from there to Munich (superb scenic journey everyone should try it) Munich to Ostend via Cologne - SeaCat to Dover - Storm in the Channel and me and these Hereford fans were trying to have a smoke outside in a choppy gale...got chatting turns out one lad's dad played for the Swans briefly in the late 60searly 70s....forget the player's name They thought I was deranged but promised me they'd floor it round the M25 if they got their booze and fags through customs - they did - I got pulled but fair play they waited and it was game on... Got to the Majdeski about 2:55 and bought a ticket - stewards wouldn't let me in with rucksack - Kind St Johns Ambulance guy stepped in and looked after it... If you were there and remember some dickhead walking up to he back of the away end looking like Magnum PI in an Hawaiian shirt & flip flops that day that was me Bumped into Tony Jenkins (RIP) up the back who gave me a lift back to London afterwards. We lost 5-1 and were shite - Martin Butler tore us a new arsehole and Watkin scored a consolation. Good fun but my feet were cold and soon wished I was back in Split...!! Anyway I won the f****g bet ! [Post edited 13 Oct 19:50]

The Rangers situation is completely different to Man City. Years of financial mismanagement, bad takeovers and HMRC did for them. Once in difficulties the greed and hatred of other clubs aided by the SFA, SPL and SFL ensured Rangers demotion. With Man City it was deliberate subterfuge and concealment many times over. Cheating in short. |

I'm also a long time fan of Hajduk and have been to the eternal derby and was glued to both the Swans and Hajduk games this weekend both had similar outcomes.. It's a bonkers fixture but incredible atmosphere - the game was stopped a number of times due o the smoke and pyrotechnics on the pitch. Hajduk won 1-0 and the partying in Split afterwards was fantastic. I'm glad all the Croatian lads enjoyed themselves and hope they'll be at some more games soon. |

There's us Mudbloods who don't want to tarnish Welsh racial purity with our Anglicised ways and interbreeding.....Plus a few Ugandan Arborists to skew figures.... |

Point of order - Warwick Hunt was not Kev that must have been another prolific poster. I know Mr Hunt and he is very much alive, still spinning and selling rare and vintage vinyl and occasionally popping up with acerbic posts on some of the footy pages on FB. |

Eric Arthur Blair - George Orwell.... Wrote a book about a dystopian future where the state controlled everything even thoughts through propaganda, coercion and gaslighting.. Tony Charles Lynton Blair - the evil piece of human excrement that set his namesake's work in motion with art imitating life and life imitating art. This has all been very conveniently and surreptitiously arranged all along as far as I can make out... Eric tried to warn us - he was no fan of the Fabians and their ilk. "Intellectual, tract-writing … high-minded Socialist slum visitors, who had no actual affinity for the working class they purported to champion. Their socialism, he argued, was not about improving the lives of ordinary people. It was about control." Even Lenin called them a bunch of utter ****s. Imagine that...? Lenin....yep that Vladimir Lenin.....warning the World about them. Now in 2026 they sit in every government, on every NGO and the UN and its various chattels. We're Friar Tucked... France's unrest is just the first shots of a long war... [Post edited 11 Oct 22:39]

In a nutshell you take money off the hardworking aspirational people and give it to scrounging feckless layabouts. Eventually you run out of other people's money ,get booted out of office and then 20 years later the next generation of gullible tits comes along and votes an even worse socialist government than the last. As you will have noted since July 2024. £313 billion on welfare in 2024 expected to hit £333 by 2026. More dependents arriving by boat every day. It's all rather marvellous really. |

I find this poster abhorrent. He is not a classic WUM. It really is heartfelt hate. He is disturbed. Prevent should be notified. Nobody posts insane rubbish like this unless they have a mental illness. |

What a basket case piece of filth this nutjob is. If he has relatives I pity them. Mentally unstable. I wonder if he knows? *Shudder*. |

Agree here broadly. People back in my neck of S Wales will just default to spoons. Last time back before these rises you can still get a massive fry up and a pint for well under an Ayrton Senna before 10am... |

Tickets on sale tonight. Fully appreciate I'm ancient and irrelevant ... £400+ and no confirmed acts announced. Never missed one until 1998. Right now you could offer me a luxury Winnebago backstage with VIP passes and a hot-tub and I'd still rather stay at home and smash my own balls in with a lump hammer instead than attend... Might dip in to IPlayer to watch a bit with a nice cheeky red if Jo Wiley is doing a bit of the obscure classic folky jazz type stuff... Those of you with teenage kids like me about to take a hit I sympathise... £400 though ? ....Jesus H... [Post edited 1 Oct 19:01]
